e5volcano
Did anyone take a chance on any Steeler running back? I drafted Jonathan Dwyer as my late round RB sleeper, I've been reading reports that he can eventually start and get 1000 yards. Plus no matter which back runs, Steelers RBs do get TDs right? Did anyone pick up Mendahall or Redman?

Did anyone pick up Mendahall or Redman? Honestly, I don't see much value in any of them from a fantasy perspective. I did take Mendenhall extremely late in both of my drafts, but, I'm not expecting much. I do think when everyone is healthy, Mendenhall is the most talented. I like what Redman & Dwyer have shown, but, I think, as long as both are healthy, which is in question right now with Redman, they are going to share 1st & 2nd downs until Mendenhall returns. Also, there value is limited because Chris Rainey is going to take most of the 3rd down snaps. I also look for the Steelers to use their passing game more than usual, as their is just too much talent in the passing game for the Steelers to resist using. They need the ball in Brown, Wallace, Sanders & Miller's hands as much as possible.
Capt. Stanky
I took Dwyer in the last round of a recent draft. I agree that I don't see much value here, as Redman, Mendy and Rainey will steal value, but he's a decent flyer since you can get him so late. I have never been real impressed with Mendenhall, so if Dwyer plays the same as he did in the pre-season he could take over that job. Edited September 4, 2012 by Capt.
