bushwacked
This Thursday night game was pretty low rent. Bears sucked...Rodgers plunked his team to a win with Benson. Cutler looked and played like an angry drunk guy..... Yaaaayyy...Thursday night games.
Papajohn
It's a business like any other, and the more people that acknowledge that, the less outrage there should be about Goodell having to water the game down (does anyone honestly think that Goodell wants to water down a part of the game that a large portion of fans want to see, i.e., big hits? Of course not, but there are consequences, such as the suits they're already seeing); people should also be less outraged about things like player holdouts, when we see all the time how quickly their earning power can be erased; there should be less outrage about expansion to new markets and other business practices to increase the demand for the product and protect the brand. This is all what a business is supposed to do, and it shouldn't be any other way, as long as their doing it legally and ethically.... Similarly, if there is a demand for Thursday night games, then they're in the business of supplying it. +1 But I still hate the Thursday Night Games. WashingtonD
I love it, part of the growing family essentially means that Sundays aren't spent watching a game or two anymore. Night games are the only ones I get to watch live so one more of those is great for me.
SecondString
I have no problem with it at all, I actually enjoy having another night to watch NFL football instead of having to wait six whole days after MNF. I don't agree at all that it dilutes the product, as some have stated. I think the opposite is true, it makes the product more available and exposed by giving another game each week its own stage on which to feature two teams and their players, rather than hiding among all of the other Sunday games. Fantasy-wise, requires more planning, and adds some strategic influences, but not at all unmanageable.
