Egret
Im really disappointed in a lot of teams this year. Half of the teams in the NFL have a losing record. It's sad to see the mighty NFL fall to such depths. What needs to happen to make sure that half the teams won't have a losing record? Big John
Put a team in Lake Wobegon where everyone is above average.

cdrudge
Half of the teams in the NFL have a losing record. It's not only affecting teams as a whole, but individual players. About half of all players at their respective positions are below average.

stevegrab
if playoffs started today who would go? A bunch of teams that probably don't deserve it. Too many tie breakers to look up for me.
cdrudge
if playoffs started today who would go? Since there is so little to go on, the tie breakers work out to be who has the better division record as well as who has the better combined points for and against ranking in their conference. AFC: 1-3 beat the others since they had division victories and order was determined by combined points for and against rankings in the conference. The rest were just the remainder of the winning AFC teams with Houston being the lone remaining division winner. 1. Baltimore 2. New York Jets 3. San Diego 4. Houston 5. New England 6. Denver NFC: 1st-3rd because they had division victories, and Dallas edges Arizona out as their combined points for and against was slightly better then Arizona when compared with all teams. Arizona was also slightly ahead of TB in conference points ranking. 1. Dallas 2. Arizona 3. Tampa Bay 4. Chicago 5. San Francisco 6. Atlanta On a side note, what is the farthest the tie breakers have ever had to go in the real playoff rankings?

cdrudge
Maybe not keep score so nobody is a loser So just give out participation ribbons or something at the end of the game and/or season? I think that could work...

Are you saying that if the Season ended today the Cowboys would have home field advantage throughout the playoffs AND a FIRST ROUND BYE! WHOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO...............Yeahhhhhhh. ok...ok..ok well I have just one more question then? How many more we gotta win to stay right there without going anywhere? Yean and the Cardinals would have #2 slot and a first round bye. Jets #2, SD #3 in the AFC, lots of stuff that won't last all season.
