BA Baracus
I did not see the Bears game last week. How did he look on the field? I know he's a big guy and was a beast at SC, but how does he look at NFL speed? Good routes and hands, or just some wide open garbage time stats? I'm interested to hear from anyone that watched the game as well as Bears and Gamecock fans. Thanks
White lightning
I've watched him in SEC highlights, camp, preseason and the Colts game. I think he's the real deal. His lack of upper body strength and burst off the line may cause trouble with press coverage. However, his height, body control, down field speed, and unbelievable hands will make him a very solid WR in the NFL. I think you should grab him in deeper/dynasty leagues.
Double Agent
I've got him but I'm going to wait and see a little more before playing him. Tomorrow night's game should tell us a little something.
CaptainHook
The way Culter is throwing the ball, he could have a pretty decent season for a rookie.
gilthorp
He's nothing more than a WR4 option for fantasy right now, if that. However, he will earn more looks and it depends what he does with them. Best case scenario, he's the Bears #2 by mid year...worst case he'll be #3 in targets by the end of the year. If the first game is any indication, Cutler is dealing, and he had no problem tossing it deep to the kid in double coverage. If Marshall gets the extra man coming his way, you'll see some very big weeks from him. I wouldn't trust any consistency though.
BA Baracus
Thanks White and Gil, well articulated responses. I've been reading good things about the kid. I am hurting at WR in one league and having to decide between Anquan, Santonio, Randy Moss, and LaFell for my WR2 every week and it sucks. I am thinking about dumping one of these guys (Moss) for Ashlon because of his potential. I just don't think that I can live with Santonio or Quan's 8 point ceiling every week or the inconsistency of the other two...although I do like LaFell to breakout this year. Mr. Retail
I think he is in a very good situation with Cutler throwing and Marshall drawing coverage so I could see him being a wr3 by seasons end.
