Phazool
Can someone please explain to me why some fantasy sites (the huddle included) list him as a RB but others (MFL) list him as a WR? I went to the KC Chiefs official site anf they have him listed as a WR. If that's the case, why does The Huddle and other fantasy sites list him at RB? I could really use him as RB in my MFL league but I can't justify using my commish powers to change his status without some kind of legitimate reason to keep my league owners from revolting. Does anyone have this problem or know anything about this snafu?
Whiskey Pimp
If the Chiefs list him as WR and your league lists him as WR then you have no reason to justify using him as a RB.
Phazool
I agree, but why the mixup across the FF board? I would love to hear DMD's take on this as to why The huddle projects his stats as a RB vs WR.

stevegrab
If the Chiefs list him as WR and your league lists him as WR then you have no reason to justify using him as a RB. This. I too was confused as to why the Huddle lists him as a RB, if the majority of league management sites (incuding MFL, CBS, etc) and the team all list him as a WR. Maybe the Huddle sees him as RB and wants to rank him with RB. But if you're selecting players to put in your line-up that is confusing since he doesn't go in a RB slot (flexes are different). There have been other players like this in the past, and general consensus is whatever the team and fantasy management say goes.

stevegrab
ESPN - Dexter McCluster , KC RB, WR Yahoo Fantasy - Dexter McCluster (KC - WR,RB) CBS Fantasy - DEXTER MCCLUSTER KC WR/RB NFL Fantasy - Dexter McCluster WR, Kansas City Chiefs MFL - Dexter McCluster KCC WR Not on my CBS ste, he is listed as eligibility WR, don't think I've ever seen it list players as a slash. Maybe you (or possibly I) have a league setting that addresses that. Did a Google search with this phrase "cbs fantasy dexter mccluster" and most ofthe links I see show WR not a WR/RB. Not disputing yoiur claim, just don't get why you see WR/RB and I see WR. I'm commish and looked through the settings and didn't find anything for this. So maybe you
WashingtonD
Some sites default to whatever the player was classified at pre-season and don't adjust as that may affect roster requirements etc based on how that player was drafted. The same thing occurred when Colston was a rookie, several sites listed him as a WR/TE the entire season, even though by week 1 the Saints had changed his designation and he was clearly playing WR. McCluster is clearly being used as a WR this year and IMHO that's how he should be designated by league commishes
Phazool
I don't have a league there, but I searched and found this http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/players/playerpage/1137461/dexter-mccluster
stevegrab
I don't have a league there, but I searched and found this http://www.cbssports...exter-mccluster That looks like their plain CBS Sports stuff, nothing about fantasy. Is that where you're getting the WR/RB, if so I'd say it isn't a fantasy reference. His eligibilty on my fantasy league shows WR.

I would love to hear DMD's take on this as to why The huddle projects his stats as a RB vs WR. He is listed at the position that our stat provider has him listed at...we (the huddle) has nothing to do with how the players positions are listed. keggerz
fwiw, for those that don't know, MFL defaults positions based on depth charts at Rotoworld
Phazool
Thanks for all the feedback. I know it's not a big deal, but considering my woes at RB, this kind of stresses me out. I just needed to vent and hear other's opinions.
ChampSampson
RT Sports has him at RB and wont budge otherwise
keggerz
RT Sports has him at RB and wont budge otherwise they also posted an explanation why, saying it was because ppl drafted with him listed as a RB blah blah blah...fwiw, MFL allows the commish to change a players position if they want too...so you wouldn't be pigeon holed the way RTS pigeon holed their customers
skhyatt
It seems clear that the majority have McCluster at WR. I understand that The Huddle is going by what their stats provider feeds them, but I would think maybe if enough pressure were applied that it could be changed?
