skhyatt
It's been a couple of weeks now, heading into the 3rd week already! Wow, time flies! Anyhow, thought I'd throw in my thoughts. I was skeptical at first, but this being only my 2nd year on The Huddle, definitely gave it a chance. At this point, I really like the Player Value Tracker and the ability to use MyHuddle to track players by your various leagues. Really nice feature. Also like that they put the start/sit tool, old style, back on, as that is useful as well. One thing that I wish The Huddle would do is if a player is not being projected, my preference would be to still list him, but with a note that "no projections done" or something like that. When a player is missing entirely, makes you wonder if something is wrong, at least for me. I subscribe to three different sites and find myself coming to The Huddle the huge majority of the time. I'll definitely be dropping one of those sites next season, but it won't be The Huddle that I'll be dropping for sure. Keep up the good work. Tripleshot
Someone sure nailed that Reggie Bush as top scoring RB of week 2 projection. Or was that the automatic "anyone playing Oakland" built-in factor?
keggerz
I remember when you were asking if you should give us a try last year, glad you did, and even more so that you feel you made a good choice.

Mr. Retail
Yes great call with Reggie Bush as the top ppr back last week
DMD
You are welcome! Loved Bush this year. He is on almost everyone of my teams too. As for the listing, we are doing that for some players that are definitely notable and out because of injury. We already project for usually 1 QB, 1 or 2 RB, 3 WR, TE and PK for every team. Players not projected and not out because of injury are not considered a starter in pretty much any league so it would be hard to decide who to include with no projections. Can you give me examples? skhyatt
It seems like most of the players I'm probably thinking about are IDP players. A couple that come to mind that I don't see ranked, but seem to be scoring well are Thomas DeCoud and Ed Reed. On a week to week basis, I know more goes into it than just total points scored, but if they are scoring points and both of those examples are in the top 30 of DB's in one of my leagues, then it's surprising that they're not listed. There are other examples, but those are just a couple.

There are other examples, but those are just a couple. I could easily writeup 250-300 IDP players but most leagues don't need to go near that deep, and it also becomes a time issue...so instead I am doing 50ish DL, 60ish LBs, and 50ish DBs...DBs are a funny breed in that they are very up and down and matchup dependant...I try to look at the players that most people would/should have rostered and writeup those players....I also will include zero stats for certain guys that are injured to keep people informed...as for Reed and DeCoud...especially Reed, he is a very volatile DB and does most of his damage if and when he gets a big play...those of course are the hardest to project so more often than not Reed isn't going to make my writeups...and if you look at say your DBs ranked 30-60 you won't find much separation points wise. For the season the difference from the #30 DB to the #60 DB is 5 points...and DB 100 (Patrick Peterson) is just 11 points back of #30...and I have writen up Peterson, mainly because he was highly drafted this past summer (not sure why) so I want to point out to people that they shouldn't be shocked by his poor fantasy play and help them to realize he should be on the bench...as for Reed, since 2007 he has only had something like 7-8 games where he has had 5 or more tackles in a game (I don't think ever more than 6)...very little upside...lots of risk...thats why I haven't written him up...Decoud has been inconsistent in the past, in 2011 he scored in double digits 6 times, then there were a ton of 2-3 tackle subpar fantasy games...if I see more from him that leads me to believe he will be consistent then yes, I will add him...also I have no issues with people asking about players here or in the IDP forum and I can look at adding them for the Friday update if possible or warranted. Croe
I'm in the same boat as skhyatt. I joined last year after using the forums for a few weeks. I love the PVT as a tool and am glad that I am hopeully the only one in any of my leagues who uses it.

stevegrab
Was just showing it to somebody that used to have the huddle but doesn't anymore. They liked the ability to track your league with players and scoring included. Of course I just need to remember to update my player tracking when I change my fantasy roster. Would be nice if every player on the your team roster showed up, even if they have no prediction or write-up, but I understand the reasons why. Maybe that could be enhanced for next year. Whiskey Pimp
Of course I just need to remember to update my player tracking when I change my fantasy roster. I just remembered this about an hour ago when I was looking at my PVT and saw Santana Moss on there and thought "hey I should drop him and grab Jerome Simpson". I dropped Moss last week for McCluster already.
loaf
I want my money back! Cam Newton didn't come close to 260/2 with 60/1. Time will tell if I shoulda started Cutler

DMD
Kendall Hunter ... kinda borderline really. He only had 9 runs in GB and that was high because SF was winning. And he only had 7 touches last week - around 40 yards in each. That's below what most people would start. I am certainly keeping an eye on him to see if Gore does the mid-season decline again. I'm sure hoping that he doesn't have any kind of decline. Counting on Gore!

Hey you asked for an example, I gave ya one Besides, a guy with Hunter's explosiveness getting 10 touches a game is a definite flex candidate, in particular PPR leagues and once byes and injuries start to pile up.
