Zooty
so glad I picked too early or too late to get stuck with him Lucky me I have McFadden instead

bostonsoxandy
I'm holding on to him no matter what. Even if he throws up 10 more weeks of under 20 yards each week, you still got em come week 13?

loaf
yep, if I can't trade him I'm not gonna cut him. I have others in my RB corp that are doing me just fine.
wpayers
unless he gets benched I don't see how you cut him too much potential Please define "too much potential". I was 53yrs and 5' 9" at this point last year and not very good in bed. Hopefully, I'll remain the same in bed and not become horrible. That subjective aside, I have no potential for 5'10" and no hope for 52. Just saying.
DuckDuckGoose
i think CJ has already dropped himself in fantasy leagues.

There is no with the same amount of upside available on the waiver wire. But you knew that already
wpayers
who are you dropping him for? There is no with the same amount of upside available on the waiver wire. But you knew that already The stark reality is he may have become who he really is...an average RB2/Flex averaging 50-60 yds/game with 6TDs a year. If that's the case, its not a matter of RB WW upside to replace him with, its the roster the spot he's taking up which is the issue. Assuming my assumption is correct, there are dozens of other RB now at his level. Why not drop him for a bye week QB or TE? Remember FF is cold hearted endeavor...we don't have our team over for Xmas dinner.
loaf
I'm not dropping because I'm in a 10 team league with roster restrictions. We have to carry 2 QBs, 2 Ks and 2 D/STs so I don't need to drop him for any kind of backup that Owners in other non-restricted leagues may need. We also have to carry a combo of 10 WRs/RBs and you can't have more than 5 RBs on your roster. Edited September 20, 2012 by loaf
Grits and Shins
I own him in only 1 league ... I'm not prepared to drop him after only 2 weeks, albeit a miserable 2 weeks. Right now he IS a starting RB and there isn't a whole lot of those available on waivers.

TurboCowboy
Did any of you CJmehK supporters who actually think he's worth a bench spot watch him play his first two games? Did you watch him last year? He gives up in the face of a tackler. He crumbles instead of fighting for that extra yard. I'm not claiming to know why he doesn't give a damn anymore, but he's not using his incredible skills of the old CJ2K anymore. Can he get it back? I have no crystal ball, but I do know a loser when I see one. He's a loser. Of course he can change, but like wpayers said, FF is a cold hearted endeavor. CJmehK won't be dropped in 80% of leagues for the entire season no matter how awfully he plays. People don't know how to cut their losses in investments AND fantasy football. They hang on and ride it out hoping. I only had 3 players on my DO NOT DRAFT NO MATTER WHAT list for the draft and he was one of them. LbNiners
why drop, someone in the league will always hold some sort of value for him.
Rileyrott
I was offered Turner for him. Seriously. No thanks.
stethant
I was offered Turner for him. Seriously. No thanks. This is the problem with alot of trades in FFL - crap for crap. Two games is probably too early to drop him but I agree with the OP. By week 5 you'll have all the information you need.
TNtitans
Beware of the wild cornered animal. Don't forget this is the NFL when you're ready to count a player or team out thats when they go off and remind you.

whomper
Backs are so tough to come by this year. You might as well hold on to him. It cant be worse than having a Jaquizz Rodgers type right now
faceplant
Right now he IS a starting RB and there isn't a whole lot of those available on waivers. Good advice here. I don't have him, but if someone put him out on the WW then I'll gladly drop one or two RBs eating up space on my roster that are not starting RBs. No starting RBs available (unless you play in a league with RB roster limits) and tons of backups with potential also unavailable. The question is, who would everyone drop him for? If something like Green-Ellis caliber is out there, then I can see the argument. But what's really out there for you? Toby Gerhart? Curtis Brinkley? Rashad Jennings? At that point I'd much rather have CJ2YPC strictly on touches per game alone. Edited September 20, 2012 by faceplant
SecondString
Traded him for Beanie Wells and Stevie Johnson...then ran like I stole something. I should add that this is in a league with only three bench spots, so I could not afford to have him taking up a roster spot and not producing. Lost my first two games in that league by a combined seven points. Had he done anything at all, I'd be 2-0. I didn't have the luxury of sitting around waiting for him to get something figured out.

peepinmofo
As soon as Locker starts playing well, CJ should start playing better (I hope). The question is, will that team ever actually improve?
stevegrab
He should only be dropped if you don't have the roster space to hold onto him. In almost any league if you drop him somebody will pick him up off waivers. Not saying that is a reason in itself not to drop him. secondstring had a reasonable scenario with a very short bench, and cannot sit on a guy that isn't producing. But he at least traded him. Starting RB on any NFL team is a rosterable player in 99.9999999999999999999% of situations. Oh and to this question from bostonsoxandy Even if he throws up 10 more weeks of under 20 yards each week, you still got em come week 13? Well at that time the season is probably over (week 14 playoffs for many) so why would I cut him then, especially if it a keeper or dynasty league.
