Some surprising drops already this year

Already in my local league owners are dropping potentially good players for whoever the hot pickup for the week is. Only makes me wish we didn't have to wait a week to pick them up. Here's who we've got already:

Aaron Hernandez

Andre Roberts

Dexter McCluster

Jonathan Dwyer

James Jones

Isaac Redman

Just the way I see it - of those guys, the only one I'd make a play for is Hernandez.. If the Steelers backfield wasn't about to be as crowded as it is, Dwyer would be a decent one to hang on to - but I don't see him being an every week starter after their week 4 bye..

Jones - see Devery Henderson of the saints these past few seasons - one week he gets off then the following week you're wondering if he's even playing..

Roberts - if they can't get Fitz involved and the running game isn't working - does he REALLY have much value?

McCluster - Had a good week 1, but he's the 4th option in KC - oh, and wasn't he supposed to be a stud last season when Charles went down??

Redman - see J Dwyer

I suppose it all depends on the size of your league and how deep your bench is..

Yep roster size plays a big role in that. Also whether it is a keeper/dynasty (mostly Hernandez).

I think all but Robert are rostered in my league.

I dropped Jared Cook for Dennis Pitta. Another owner asks me (I commish) "Why can't I pick up Cook, it says he is on waivers." I had to explain to (remind) him that players who are dropped mid week (was on Tue night waiver) have to wait for Saturday waiver, so there is no FCFS pickups. My co-commish and I discussed possibly changing waivers to run again before Thu night game (since there is one every week), but figured we'd leave it for now.
