whomper
Heading in to the 4th it is just complete domination by the Pats. They are running all over them and controlling the clock. Pretty impressive

Joebirds55
I'd be a lot more mad if the guy I'm playing didn't already have Wayne Julio and Cobb. I was basically done before the 4oflock games
whomper
Denver fighting back hard. Good game to watch here.Mcgahee had a big drop on 3rd down that could have made this even closer. Edited October 7, 2012 by whomper

ts
The Pats being able to rush for ~200 yards per game (and not rely only on Brady to toss 300/3 each week for a win) has got to be worrying the rest of the teams in the AFC ... if the NEP can keep the mistakes/TOs to a minimum & play reasonable defense ... hard to beat ... again this year. LOL, as I type the above regarding no mistakes/turnovers, Ridley fumbles & DEN recovers ... this could be an interesting finish to this game. BeeR
Didn't see all the game but is it me or was this same ol same ol for Manning....tries to carry the team but doesn't have enough supporting cast (unlike Brady) to get it done
bdub1988
Anyone else as baffled by McDaniels as I am? I jumped on Brady 1st round in all 3 of my leagues, thinking McDaniels' style of play calling with the Pats offense would mean passing scores by the bucketloads...I can't even process what I've been seeing. Since when have the Patriots been a power running team? Disgusting.
Skilly
As a Donkeys fan, this has been completely demoralizing. Same old crap. Any team that has a qb with a moderate amount of talent should be able to move their team at will against this soft and slow defense in Denver. Danny freaking Woodhead converts on a 3rd and 17 RUN?? That's all you need to know right there. I see only 4 more wins for this team the rest of the season (KC, San Diego, Buccaneers and Browns). I don't think they can beat the Saints, Bengals, Ravens, and they lose to the Chiefs, Chargers and Raiders as a matter of course.
Joebirds55
Agree about McDaniels. I mean its working for them as they just gashed Denver...but it's annoying as Brady and that team made their living slinging the rock the past few years and were really successful

boltnlava
Once again I am baffled by the arrogance that has seeped into the playcalling in New England. Timeouts? Don't need 'em. Run every down? Sure why not. Even though it seemed like a runaway game for the Patriots, I don't see it that way. The OC/Head Coach left points on the field and got away with it. It seems like this will cost them at some point. Anyone else seeing this?

No huddle was killer and the running game was deadly effective -- I have no problem with them running everydown.

I already hated the patriots before this season, but after convincing myself to draft Brady, I prepared myself to actually have to root for them a bit. Instead, they just found a way to make me hate them more. Watching them just run the ball all the way through the red zone into the end zone made me want to throw something. Not only that, they don't even bother with deception anymore. When there's a RB in the backfield, it's a run almost every single time. If Brady is gonna throw the ball. empty backfield. It's like they're saying "Here's what we're gonna do, but it's not like you can stop us from doing it...". Arrogant, conceited, and stupid. My hatred of the Patriots knows no bounds. DuckDuckGoose
It's effective playcalling at best Teams are so scared to get burned by the threat of Brady and the receiving core that they don't expect the run.

I hate the pats and picked Brady gronk 1-2. I hated my team due to that fact and even tho I'm now 4-1 (getting smoked this week) I'm still extremely concerned. Sounds like this is your FF-bias seeping into a team analysis. Belichick said in the pre-season a goal of his, and a necessity for this team, is to be able to run when everyone knows they are going to run. It certainly is good practice at that when they run run run run and run to wind the clock. Calling the Pats arrogant because they didn't run up the score throwing when they were up by as much as 24 (?) is laughable considering you all would be bitching and moaning if they passed and went no-huddle with a big lead. Take off the FF goggles and you'll see a normal, powerhouse football team that just played a very good game.

Had to settle for three because the timeouts were not used properly. Why? Hell, we're the Patriots! We don't need timeouts! They left Denver so many ways to win this game it's not funny. The Broncos just couldn't take advantage. I get that you're not seeing it and I get why. You guys won. And by 10. I'm saying another team with better weapons might have won that game.
