Coach1310
I expected a 1000 yd, 7-8 TD season from Jordy..... and have been severely dissappointed. What is his value going forward? I would move him for a RB3 or RB4 at this point.... Thoughts?
Bier Meister
While i am also disappointed with him, i wouldn't label him a one year wonder yet. I have watched all of the packers games and it seems like rodgers misses him on long plays while open every week. Hard to say what his value is at the moment. Big John
If Jennings gets healthy, Nelson will get better as he is a better #2 than a #

Coach1310
I just don't see it. He is rarely targeted and basically an afterthought in the redzone.... move over Jennings and Jordy.. welcome Jones and Cobb.... at least that is how I see it..... Also, the O Line can't provide protection for the deep stuff Jordy thrived on last year so I just don't see it turning around....
archiebonker
I've been thinking the same thing. But this would be a terrible time to trade him drop him. I agree that he needs Jennings and things will get better.
DuckDuckGoose
I just traded him for Mcfadden. I just didn't see it with him. James freaking Jones and Cobb is doing better than him.

Bronco Billy
Nelson seems like one of those guys who is a superb NFL WR2 but can't make it happen as a WR1. Wouldn't be the first not the last.
MrTed46
I was high on him and drafted him as mr WR1 and Steve Smith CAR as my WR2 in 2 of my locals. It's a reason I am 1-4. The Packers as a whole don't seem to be the same Packers of 2011 so that's the problem. I don't think Jordy is to blame but I agree, he is a great WR2 but don't think he can handle WR1 coverage. FMLuck!

Right now I'd almost say that Jones is performing more like a #1 than Nelson is.
Bronco Billy
Right now I'd almost say that Jones is performing more like a #1 than Nelson is. Jones has eye-popping physical ability. What he lacks is concentration on the simple stuff. I think that's why Rodgers has always been an advocate for Jones - he sees what Jones can be. Maybe all it takes is consistent reps to get the light to come on and do the little things well.
detlef
He's been an auto-start for me thus far by virtue of where I drafted him, but he's now a bye-week fill-in until he starts putting up more consistent numbers.
Scooby's Hubby
I also think the O-Line has something to do with Nelson's deep ball opportunities.

When he said that a few years back, everyone went "suuuureee" but I think there's a grain of truth to it - it always seems the more you put on Jones, the better he plays. As opposed to other players *Finleycough*
Wiseman155
I don't think its any of that. Look at the GB WR core at this moment other than Nelson. Its Finley, Cobb, and Jones. Finley has not been as productive as before his injury a year or two ago. Cobb is maybe a #4 WR. James Jones Is decent, but is much more a #3 than a number 2. Its so obvious its hard to not see it. Every defense is gunning for him. Double coverage, press coverage, and deeper safeties are preventing anything big happening for Jordy. And that is why James Jones has all the sudden become the guy that everbody wants. He is not that fast, he's not that tough. What he is is single covered. My prediction is that once Jennings is healthy, Nelson will begin to slowly see better opportunities. I agree with many of you that Rodgers hasn't exactly been the idol of perfection (not saying he's not one of the best QBs in the league). But its not totally that Rodgers is missing him.
Scorcher
I drafted Nelson as my WR1 and was fortunate to pick up Wayne as my WR2. Green Bay is not utilizing Nelson, and look at their record.
darin3
If Jennings gets healthy, Nelson will get better as he is a better #2 than a #1 I wouldn't bet on that happening. Groin injuries, especially for WRs, are tough to shake. You're right, though... Nelson would certainly benefit from being the secondary target. He just doesn't have the gifts to beat constant safety rolls and as a result, you're seeing guys like Cobb and Jones with more production. DuckDuckGoose
The comparison I would like to use is this with Nicks out Cruz was still a stud. The problem is that with Jennings out he has been anything but. Maybe it's tough to compare the two as it's different situations but that's my opinion on the matter.
