Ridley's fumble.

still the best/most productive back on the team, I dont know Bellchik track records with RB but 1 fumble even with a history of it shouldn't kill his game entirely. Only thing I dont like seeing is the odd times when they decide to throw in Vareen/Bolden randomly at the goal line, thats the only thing diminishing Ridley over all fantasy game.

Really? Bolden is averaging almost a full ypc more than Ridley is.

that was mostly due to that big Buffalo gm and what happened to Bolden against Den then? Ridley still got twice as many carries and had the better ypc.

Not following your point - did the Buffalo game not count or something? Ridley played in that game as well. I'm not saying Bolden is a better RB - was simply responding to a comment made that Ridley is still the best/most productive back on the team. The numbers on a per carry basis thus far don't necessarily back that statement up.

is that all youre basing your more productive analysis on? More total yards, more TD's, more carries, etc. dont count?

For a guy who just started getting carries two games ago, not really. You can't compare total stats for guys who have effectively played 5 games and 2 games, respectively.

Belicheck will do what he wants regardless of who is better. If A.Hernandez didnt get hurt, Welker might still be sitting on the sidelines. Its Bills world. Ridley could get 20 carries this week, or 0 carries, and I dont think anyone would be surprised either way.

I agree for the most part. The Ridley and Welker situations are different, though, in that one would be a performance based benching (i.e., because of fumbles) and the other was purely strategic/financial (i.e, hey wes - we don't need you, so we'll deflate and your stats so we can pay you even less next season).

I am a Ridley owner in multiple leagues so maybe I am just trying to be optimistic, but I'm not all that concerned about his latest fumble. Dude had been toting the rock all day for a buck fifty. I think he was getting a bit run down there at the end when he lost the ball. I really don't think Belichick is going to hold this against him as such, however he may see a downtick in touches so he doesn't get worn down by the end of the game. So there is some concern about him losing touches for that reason, but I'm really not worried about him losing his preferred status, situation as it was Sunday.

Well according to what Belichick says, he will hold the fumble against him. Not sure how people don't believe that will happen, other than being an overly optimistic Ridley owner. Will somebody else get the bulk of the carries regularly, probably not. But they won't lean on Ridley as much either.

Wow, I think there is a massive over-reaction happening here.

Is Ridley really at the sell high point? He is number 3 in my league, one point behind Jamaal Charles, and had Charles had an above average day two weeks ago, Ridley would be number 2.

I do not think there is room for concern as teams have had to figure out a way to stop the two TE set that was so explosive in NE last year.

While I think there's a fair chance Beli doesn't do anything (yet), I think some people are ignoring the fact that this is Bill Belichick we're talking about here. You know, the guy who went with BJGE (a thoroughly mediocre RB who was far less talented of a runner than others on the roster) for the last few years primarily because the guy never fumbled. Maybe it's just me, but I think he'd gladly go with a "plodder" who guts out 4 ypc and never fumbles over a more talented runner with 4.5 ypc who fumbles 6 or 7 times over the course of a season.
