Reality Has Kicked In

Yes, his offensive line and running game were phenomenal during their last Super Bowl win, when he was sacked more than any QB in the league and Parker led the team with 700 yards rushing. The defense gave up 24, 13, & 23 points in the playoffs that year, which certainly aren't shut down numbers. He also led his team to a Super Bowl two years ago with one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL and his defense gave up 24, 19 & 31 points. Pretending that Roethlisberger success is due to playing behind a great offensive line, having a superior running game, and a shutdown defense are so inaccurate it is laughable. So, though your point has zero facts to back it up, if it made you feel better, then it's all good.

Winners win. Romo doesn't. Deal with it.

P.S. They reported during the Eagles game that Roethlisberger had been sacked more than any other QB since 2006 and it wasn't even close. During those 6 years, the Steelers made the playoffs 4 times, the AFC Championship twice, the Super Bowl twice and came away with a Lombardi trophy.

Roethlisberger is a whiny, over-dramatic clown, but, he is also a very good QB.

ETA:

From 2004-2012, Romo has been sacked 150 times

From 2004-2012, Roethlisberger has been sacked 324 times

From 2004-2012, Roethlisberger has 10 Playoff Wins, 2 AFC Championship wins, 1 Super Bowl Win

From 2004-2012, Romo has 1 Playoff Win

your getting easier

If Cutler had been playing for the Bears since '06, it would have been extremely close.

Yep, pretty close actually. 2009-2011, Ben was sacked 122 times. Cutler was sacked 111 times.

It would be interesting to know just how many of those sacks were of his own doing, while try to extant a play, when most other QB's would have thrown it away. It's part of Big Ben's game and what makes him him, but I think it's lead to why statically he's so much higher then the rest. Well, I maybe wrong.

It's a good point, as he definitely tends to hold onto the ball until the bitter end. (He has gotten better with it as the years have gone by). However, for each one that is his fault, there is another one where you wonder how he avoided the sack, either with mobility or defenders bouncing off of him. It all likely evens out in the end. The Steelers offensive line has been really bad ever since Faneca skipped town. Prior to Faneca leaving, the Steelers offensive line was among the greatest in the league year after year. I think this group they have now is going to eventually be good, if they can ever stay healthy.

Maybe he was thinking that it would make it tougher to identify him, but obviously a 348 pound shirtless Samoan running down the street might stick out just a little bit.

Not if you're in Samoa.
