Browns sale to Haslam official, Holmgren out as President after this season

I heard Holmgren had said his goodbyes after Sunday's game.

Interesting since he is supposed to work with the new guy through the transition. Maybe he will only work with him, and not interact with coaches and players anymore.

Hope we're not taking more steps backward (or laterally) instead of continuing to move forward.

I think Holmgren made the mistake by keeping Mangini there for another season. I like the Browns draft this season with Richardson and Weeden. I like some of the young guys they have there Gordon, Cameron, Little was looking decent, Norwood was looking promising as well. Defensively I'm not as knowledgeable. They've played tough this year and had some hard losses. I would have like to have seen what Holmgren would have done, had he had a few more years with this year and last years drafts, being his.

If I were Kansas City, I'd be all over Holmgren right now as a GM or both a GM and a coach. If I were Dallas I'd be all over him also, though only as a coach, I don't think Jones would give him that much control.

I don't think Holmgren would take a HC job in Dallas with Jerry as the GM.

He should have fired Shurmur and appointed himself HC, then we'd see if Haslam would fire him from that role ;) JK, I'm not sure the he's interested in coaching again.

Holmgren as GM in Seattle was mostly mediocre.

Which would be a quantum leap forward for KC.
