NOSaint237
Anyone have any insight on the use of New England RB's. It seems Ridley is the primary ball carrier, sprinkle in some Woodhead and Vereen. Earlier this season Vereen had a monster game and went back into hiding. Woodhead seems to get his steady dose of around 10 touches a game. Reason for asking is I'm desperate for a bye week filler. I have Woodhead on roster and Vereen is available. I only assume it's all part of game planning on whether or not Vereen would be more involved. Any homers have any insight??? Specifically for this week preferably. WashingtonD
Ridley is primary ball carrier Wood head is designated no huddle and third and long, most of his points come in last 2 minutes of halves Vereen is change of pace and handcuff if Ridley goes down
chinatown dragons
and keep in mind, if Bolden gets healthy, he'll get in there too, as had a couple of big games.....Ridley is the one you want to own/start.....
stevegrab
Just don't expect the bulk of the RB production to go to any one back, even Ridley on a regular basis. Watching the Jets game Vereen seemed to be on the field a lot more than Ridley. OK, looking at this past week's stats Ridley did have 17 carries to Vereen 8 and Woodhead 6. Not sure why I felt Ridley wasn't on the field much, maybe those were all passing downs. Outside of Ridley, I think its hard to predict the production of the others, too dependent on the game situation. e5volcano
As a fellow ridley owner to others, is Vareen a must own if you have Ridley?
WashingtonD
Must own is too strong as bolden would play heavily in an rbbc with vereen if Ridley went down
bostonsoxandy
As a fellow ridley owner to others, is Vareen a must own if you have Ridley? I see not much FF value in Vereen this year. I emphasize this year....I just don't think he'll get the opportunity considering he'd be most effective doing what Woodhead is doing right now for the most part. I think it is a frustrating FF situation obviously. But people have to stop jumping off the Ridley bandwagon and stop their panicking. Ridley has got double digit carries every week this season -- again -- every single week. He had 28, 16, and 17 the last 3 weeks. I think he will continue to get that workload -- he has played two stingy defenses the last 2 weeks in the Jets and Seahawks...I'm not very worried as a Ridley owner, although I am biased. WashingtonD
To answer the original poster's question specifically, if you had to take a bye week fill in I'd go Woodhead all day (especially in PPR), he has a guaranteed role as the no huddle and long 3rd down RB. So he will get his touches.

bostonsoxandy
when was that? He's probably thinking of Bolden.
