What kind of spoiled baby of a fan are you? You Cowboys' fans make me sick. You don't hesitate to throw the number of rings they have won in people's faces any other time, but you're going to stop wearing their gear because your little cry-baby choke artist QB is not making you happy? You have no idea what real pain is as a fan so man up.

The kind of fan that is fine with spending my money elsewhere until someone (Jerry Jones) decides that the results on the field are more important than the billion dollar stadium, and the "image" of the Cowboys. Could be worse I guess, I could be a Raiders or Browns fan - not even having hope before the season starts and happy that the game is close. Not sure which of those 2 fans - fan of a never contender vs. fan of a wannabe contender - are more painful....

Well first of all what the heck is going on here. We have perhaps one of the biggest weeks in football and we have ZERO sig bets, or game threads. What gives?

Fans of every teams use to post the game threads and I loved to read through all of them seeing all the trash talkin.

Well, keeping up with tradition, I'll get the Giants vs. Cowboys game thread started.

I will say that this is the defining game of the year of the Cowboys. A Cowboys win tells me this team has what it takes to be taken seriously this year. A loss dooms this years Cowboys team. As optimistic as I am, this game has to be a must win. Going 3-4 at the halfway mark with the teams we have left to play just smacks of doom..........

I have to tell you. My Cowboys are perplexing. After week one I thought, hey now, this club looks good. Then after weeks 2 through 7, not so much........

I just can't figure this team out at all. We plug one leak and another springs up somewhere else. We stop one problem and two more pop up. We cut down on penalties but give up fumbles and picks. We stop the turnovers but lose our running game. Then just when we play a fairly clean game and grind out a road win, we lose our heart and soul of the defense in Sean Lee.

So what's in store on Sunday, at home, against the Giants whom we beat on the road already but have lost to the past three time at home no less?

I would love to come in here and confidently say "hey the Cowboys are playing good football and should beat the Giants", but I can't. Because their not playing good football. They're playing peek a boo.

I would love to say "hey the Giants have to find a way to cover our talented WR". But I can't say that either. Ogletree has done exactly what I suspected he would. Play great one week and then turn into the invisible man. Dez same thing, now you see em now you don't.

I would love to say "Romo is playing some of his best football". But I can't say that either. Yes he has played well in spurts. But between dropped balls, missed throws and defensive pressure, he's been limited. It's hard to play QB without any running game. More on that later.

The Defense, yes it's in the top of the league in many categories but really they haven't been all that impressive. Two Picks. TWO. All that talent and corner and we have 2 picks. Don't get it. I just don't. They aren't exactly keeping people out of the endzone either.

Then you have the running game, more ups and downs then a porn movie. Murray up, Murray down, Felix up, Felix Down.

The Giants on the other hand are doing with that Giants do. Find a way to win. Now I don't think our secondary will let Cruz run free down the middle and spit double coverage for an 80 yard TD with less then 2 minutes on the clock. Ridiculous.

Eli has thrown some BAD picks but in wins they get overlooked.

The Oline is starting to play better and Cook has a few more weeks in the system so the should be able to hold up. Smith controlled JPP in NY and needs to do the same Sunday.

If the Cowboys win and go to 4-3, the East is in play. A loss will be a hard pill to swallow and difficult to recover from.

Keys to the game:

The Cowboys win if they sack Eli at least 4 times. Pressure will cause Eli to throw the ball to spots and if this secondary is better then last year's they will get picks on those throws instead of watching the ball fall gently into the arms of Giants receivers. Eli will make bad throws under pressure and Rat back with Ware and Spencer off the edges can get the job done.

Make the Giants drive distance for points.

Slip has to throw 3 TD's and only 1 pick and it can't be a pick 6.

Think about this. The Cowboys have only 2 rushing TD's. 2. So yet again this year if the Cowboys score it's because of Romo's arm period. That's asking a lot from your QB and defenses know this so that makes it even tougher. Romo could be much more effective if we could muster even a little bit of running game to keep teams honest. Can you imagine how difficult it must be to score when the defense knows 95% of the time your throwing to do it. Watched the Carolina game and the safeties where so deep they should have had to decompress to avoid the bends..........

Someone has to rush for at least 80 yards. Jones, Tanner, Dunbar. Somebody........

Prediction: A really good game. I hope............

Wish Giants win the Champion this year

Please tell us which is which, and what you mean by these statemens. You sound like another young (or clueless) fan that thinks only SB wins matter or the titlles before some magical "current" era don't count. Of course the Cowboys have had about as much playoff success as the Raiders and Browns over the last 15-20 years, but that too escapes you.

At least those two teams have real fans, not just a bunch of bandwagon jumpers and bozos who think their team is still the greatest, or some perennial contender. You guys have hope of great success every year because you are delusional.

Granted that I'm a Cowboys bandwagon fan - I was allowed to stay up late to watch my first SB when they beat the Broncos in 1977 - but as you can see, it's been a long ride. So much for the inference you garnered of my football accumen by reading 2 posts.

I think it's fair to say that the Cowboys fans have held more promise to at least make the playoffs over the past 10 years than do either the Raiders or Browns fans (sans the delusional ones, of course). Perhaps that's the problem with us Cowboys fans - we're not willing to admit the delusion that every September brings. I've made my peace with that issue and have relegated the Cowboys to the realm of Never Contenders until something significantly changes at the top.

Jerry isn't the answer, though his ego will prevent him from selling to a more competent owner. Garrett is not the answer, nor will he ever likely be. Romo has enough empirical evidence to prove that he is not the answer. Hell, at least Danny White took the Cowboys to playoff games and holds a lifetime 5-5 playoff record. Romo could only aspire to those levels of mediocrity (and Romo can't punt either).

I guess that's where fans of the Cowboys (or Patriots, or Steelers, or Giants) differ from Browns fans - there is an expectation of winning every year, not building for the future.

As long as you have finally seen the light and no longer expect success, you're better than some.

My basic point was you talked as if the Browns and Raiders were "never was or wannabe contenders" when both have a past of high levels of success including winning NFL championships. And to do that while backing the Cowboys, who have done nothing in the recent past led me to some conclusions (some of which you verified in one way or another).

Like many I just hate most Cowboy (Pats, Steeler) fans and like giving them a hard time when they're not doing well.

Man what a game. First of all I just can't believe the first quarter. Where do I start.

Picks. This game begins and ends with picks, fumbles and bad play calls. Again however, the picks where not entirely all Romo. The thing that kills me is that Romo's stat line is 4 picks but man o man not one of them are really the Bonehead throws. Not one. I feel for the guy really.

Pick 1. Dez has to know he has to beat the safety to the ball and cross his face. Romo makes that throw almost every single game and most every time its to Austin and he gets there. So you can look at it one of three ways. Romo should not have thown the ball there period or make that through further away from the safety, OR Dez was at fault and should have beat the safety, OR the Safety made a good play.

Pick 2. Another throw Romo makes and 9 times out of ten Austin comes up with it and runs away. It was a jump ball and again good play by the corner. Maybe should not have thrown that but hell one on one Austin usually wins or protects the ball from a pick.

Pick 3. Pick six to JPP. Now that was just a great play from JPP. I don't know of many DE's that can jump to grab a 10 ft high pass without seeing it and score. Great play by JPP. 99% of the time the ball is tipped down or gets to the RB. Tough play for Romo. JPP made a sick play there that I have seen made by only two players Ware and now JPP.

Pick 4. That was a play that never should have happened. The fact that they are 4th and 1 with three straight passes after 2nd and 1 is inexcusable. That was a desperation throw at the end of the game. Hail Mary Pick if you will.

Now the fumbles are just inexcusable. Dez is just reckless. Was warned last week and did the same stupid $hit. Kid is a tard. A talented WR but a tard none the less.

Felix was just a waste of space. The fumble itself was about a sloppy a run I have seen.

I will say this though. The defense was unreal Sunday. They were put in BAD spots so many times it was ridiculous. This game should have been out of hand early and I mean WAY out of hand. Rat was a monster in the middle and Carter is ballin. The Defense's passivity level had to be at an all time high. I was worried that Rat was going to snap and would choke Romo out after the third pick.

Cruz for the second time was Dominated by Scandrick.

Neither team should feel good about this game. The Cowboys will never win again if they don't find a way to stop the stupidity. The Giants were beaten in every way but the turnovers and the score board which is the only thing that really counts.

I can just imagine how this game would have gone without the turnovers. The Cowboys could have rolled with the D playing the way they did.

Garrett blew that last series like a $20 crack whore, sloppy and confused. How you don't run the ball there and get the 1st down is beyond comprehension. Wanted to reach through the screen and grab OPIE by the neck and scream "RUN THE DAMN FOOTBALL". New set of downs and now go for the touchdown. The Giants D was gassed. I line up spread them out and run 6 on 6 down up the middle at least ONE time.

Ogletree is about as useless as an 8 track tape. I would rather see him taping up ankles than be on the field. He should be just grabbed and thrown head first in the dip$hit pile. He and Felix make for one big lump of Suck ass.

Now watch, they will go to Atlanta and beat the undefeated Falcons just to tease the crap out of me and let me think they can play football.

All I can say is that is two weeks in a row digging deep to discover a way to lose. Even when they went up by 1 I just new they were going to find a way to f...it up.

Positives: The Defense keeping Eli to a 58 passer rating. The defense should each get a chance to kick an offensive player square in the nuts.

Witten set a record with 18 grabs for 167. WOW

Carter and Lemon played their a$$es off in the middle. That was impressive.

It's like we have pancake batter but no syrup, we have hamburger but no buns, eggs but no bacon. It's always something. I don't know what to think about this team. In one game they looked like they couldn't beat Rodney King while at the same time looked like they could beat anyone.

I am just sick to death about this team.
