Romeo Crennel = Missing Link?

Is it possible that Romeo Crennel is actually a prehistoric ape-man that was frozen in a glacier somewhere until he was awakened by some present day human activity? Like that movie with the other real life ape-man playing an ape-man in the movie...you know, the Mummy guy...that's what I'm thinking here.

I can't think of any other possible explanation of why this guy is, by far, the worst football coach in the history of football, the history of coaches, and the history of worst things. How the hell did he get this HC gig with the Chiefs anyhow? Did the KC front office sleep through Romeo's stint in Cleveland?

There seems to be a lot of inexplicable activity going on in Kansas these days...

He did lead Cle to an 11 win season in one of his seasons if I'm not mistaken. That's a pretty big accomplishment if you ask me. Players apparently love playing for him, but I do think he's one of those coaches that's better suited for a coordinator job.

I had to check a source, his best record in CLE was 10-6, overall he was 24-40 in 4 seasons, so a 6-10 average. He may have been a players coach, but not a good head coach. I said that when KC hired him, and haven't seen any sign of change.

Of course records are not on the coach, a QB or any single person. Fact is there are a lot of average and bad teams in the NFL, it takes the perfect set of circumstances (coaches, front office, players, schedule, etc.) to turn one around.

My mistake, but that's still a heck of an accomplishment in my book. I agree that he's a below average head coach. Maybe he comes back to that Pats after he gets canned?

As a fan I recall that coming against a pretty easy schedule with AFC and NFC west teams that at the time were some of the worst in the league. It was impressive and enjoyed, although we missed the playoffs on a tie breaker.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007_Cleveland_Browns_season wow, they beat BAL twice that year that was impressive

I think he's a good DC and will end up doing that again somewhere, not sure where or if NE is even an option.
