Best QB for playoffs

Ryan scares me. They might be sitting him a lot late in the year if they have home field wrapped up. Need my Bears to keep pedal on the gas.

Don't think they'll sit Ryan. If the QB's not injured that never works out well and he's the leader so he plays. Full disclosure: I'm starting him in my main league.

There's alot of :fishy: here so I'll just say I'd play Freeman or Weeden before I'd start Palmer, assuming week 15 and 16 playoffs. Brady or Manning are great but Brees is going to blow the doors off TB and then may hit a demoralized Dallas squad that could be mailing it in by then.

If you're talking about including the whole stretch up to the playoffs as well, then I'd go with popular wisdom and say Ryan or Luck. My main concern with Ryan is that Atlanta figures out how to run the ball by then and so he doesn't have to be quite so prolific.

I want to see what Peyton does when it gets cold and snowy. I think alot of people forget how much he would fall off in december when he left the comfortable dome of Indy and went to New York and places north. Denver gets cold-has alot of snow. I haven't lookked at denvers schedule but he surely has home games in Denver and the weather is getting colder

I'm not sure about your data on Denver. Average high temp in December is 48 degrees and average monthly precipitation in December is 0.86". We get most of our snow in March and April. Even when we get a foot of snow here, it's not unusual to see it gone and the temperature up to 60 degrees 3 days later. The mountains buffer a lot of the weather.

Yep it is a common misconception by many that Denver is similar to the midwest or northeast in winter.

BTW Denver's schedule the rest of the way

@CAR

SD

@KC

TB

@OAK

@BAL

CLE

KC

That is one outdoor game in DEN during the regular FF playoff window (weeks 14-16). And only one really tough D against the pass (BAL).

You might want to check your stats on that. BAL is #22 in passing ypg surrendered. They are the best in the league in passing TDs surrendered, but they also are tied for #26 in the NFL in sacking opposing QB.

There is some vulnerability against the pass there.

I was going off the huddle SOS tool, showed BAL in red, a below average matchup. I probably should have said "only one somewhat tough passing D" instead of really.

YPG is a good indicator, but doesn't take into account passing TDs, and how many those Ds give up. So when discussing fantasy numbers I figure something like strength of schedule which accounts for the defense giving up points to that position is more relevant.

I think Bradford may be a sneaky play, especially if Amendola comes back 100%.

Week 17 would be tough @SEA but many leagues are done Week 16. Plus, there's a chance Seattle could rest starters that week.

Week 14 is @BUF, 15 is MIN and 16 @TBB.

If you're in a pinch, he's a guy I'd stash.
