Gourdeau
I play in an IDP league where we get points for Tackle solo, no .5 for shared tackles. I'm so lost on how they score these tackles. Is it the guy that makes initial contact, is it the guys that finishes the tackle, if guy A makes contact, wraps up and guy B then joins in, is that a shared, or a tackle for guy A ? For example guy I am playing has Demeco Ryans. The second last play before the Brees to graham TD, Thomas runs the ball into a crowd, Ryans is on the ground nowhere near the pile however he touched Thomas on the way by and then Thomas goes into the pile, Ryans gets a tackle solo awarded ??? I don't get it.

Gourdeau
Wow, not sure I like that, so who does the stat corrections, is it someone form the NFL that reviews all the stats by the home scorer?
Big John
Keg may be more in tuned with this, but tackles are rarely involved in stat corrections unless a sack is involved.

Gourdeau
Thanks to both of you, we are voting in our league now to rid ourselves of the IDP tackles stats for next season. After reading that article, appears to be a crap shoot, thus adding to much luck factor in the overall scoring.

I wouldn't recommend doing away with tackles as they are the backbone of any IDP scoring system, but rather that you add scoring for assisted tackles...and fwiw that is my blog
