Tripleshot
I'm glad I wasn't the only one who found this offensive, err.... assenine, errr.... curious. Wouldn't you save that play for when you really, really need it? I just don't see the sense in using it up by 24.

Bronco Billy
BAL has been making curious and questionable decisions all season. You can't help but think that when they get into the playoffs that it will bite them in the ass. Cameron seems to have the same I'm-so-much-smarter-than-you-and-I'm-going-to-prove-it attitude that Martz has, which directly cost STL a SB W vs NE. I'm anticipating a serious BAL flameout when it comes down to win or go home time. Edited November 12, 2012 by Bronco Billy
Zooty
You all know that Cam isn't the ST coach? That was probably Harbaugh's call not Cameron's Just checking

I'm anticipating a serious BAL flameout when it comes down to win or go home time. I couldn't agree more. If we can see it, why can't Harbaugh? Good point on the ST coach but the issue for me was the game plan. We're comfortably up at home with a wounded defense - so let's burn some clock, run, and get out of here with the W. Instead, they decide to go gunslinger. With Flacco, this can only end poorly. Not sure what they were trying to prove, but someone was definitely trying to make a statement. Cameron? Harbaugh? Tough to know.

But it seems like this attitude has permeated the entire orginization. So I would guess that it's starting from the top down.
MnLefty
If I were a Harbaugh fan I would be left hoping that it was just a signal type thing... As if to tell the rest of the league "hey we have this and know when to use it... you better rethink your kick block/fake guard schemes against us" and hope he was just trying to loosen up the kick rush against him going forward. But I'm not a Harbaugh fan, so my real reaction was "huh?"
Tripleshot
Yahoo had a blurb on it, saying it was done intentionally to "teach them a lesson" for trash talking during the game. If that's the truth, it's awfully petty, and if I'm a player going against them yet this year, you bet your arse I'm going to trash talk to get under their skin. half_hennessy
seriously i think the whole thing gets blown out of proportion here is my stance on this being an Aussie teams will try and score more points at the end of the games even more so if they are up by 40 but points for and aginst is abig thing in our games to as it is the tie breaker for positions on the ladder. I know the for and against thing doesn't really hold true in the NFL but I am all for trying different things against a real opposition in game situations when they can't hurt you anywhere near as much than what it would in a close game if they don't work. Another theory of thought for me is that it also throws something extra for your upcoming teams to game plan for aswell which can't be a bad thing just to make them try and over think things. MrTed46
If my team was down by that much, I would want the opponent to do something that has a high chance of failure. The team deserved to lose, who cares if you run up the score or do things like that. You couldn't stop them so deal with it.
stevegrab
During the ESPN pre-game, I saw something (I think it was in the "Come On Man" segment) showing an OAK DB talking some smack with a BAL receiver after a play. The BAL player was pointing up to the scoreboard, then a few plays later they ran the fake FG for a TD. So there may be some truth to the story that they did it as payback for that, which is pretty silly. Don't really care if coaches make these calls to try things or run up the score. But they're taking extra risks (the punter/holder could have been hurt and lost for the season) when they do, and also showing what kind of trick plays they have when there's no need to run them. Just seems dumb and a sign of a big ego.
