SF - RB Frank Gore injures knee in Week 10 Source: CSNBayArea.com - Matt Maiocco San Francisco 49ers RB Frank Gore (ankle, knee) came into Week 10 against the New York Giants with an ankle injury, and he left with a knee ailment. He was limited to just one snap in the second half, and was in for a blitz pickup. Gore finished with six carries for no gain. 'I'll be all right,' Gore said. 'I feel I could've played, but coach (Tom) Rathman didn't want me to play. He didn't want me out there thinking about my knee.' Gore said Sunday, Nov. 13, that he didn't even think he will need an MRI on the knee. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The 49ers face the Cardinals next week and it will be hard to rank Gore as the RB1 he had been for the previous five weeks heading into the Giants game. DAL - WR Laurent Robinson gets into end zone twice Source: The Associated Press Dallas Cowboys WR Laurent Robinson caught three passes for 73 yards and two touchdowns against the Buffalo Bills in Week 10. He is a WR2 play for as long as Miles Austin is out, which should at least be next week. The Cowboys have no reason to push Austin in his recovery with Robinson doing so well as a substitute starter. IND - QB Curtis Painter replaced Source: CBSSports.com - Tom James Indianapolis Colts QB Curtis Painter was benched Week 10 and replaced by QB . The Colts now have a two game lead in the #1 overall pick sweepstakes, which seems insurmountable when you consider that they would need to win two games to lose that lead. ATL - Julio Jones injured Week 10 Source: New Orleans Times-Picayune - Jeff Duncan Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones (undisclosed) went to the locker room with an undisclosed injury. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Jones was added to the injury report this week and may not be completely over the hamstring injury that sidelined him earlier in the season. He is a bust the week after being one of the top fantasy plays of week 9. PHI - WR Jeremy Maclin injured Week 10 Source: Philadelphia Inquirer - Jeff McLane Philadelphia Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin (shoulder) suffered a right shoulder injury in Week 10 and his status for the rest of the game is uncertain. SF - Alex Smith throws for 242 yards, TD Source: KFFL.com San Francisco 49ers QB Alex Smith completed 19 of 30 passes for 242 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Week 10 against the New York Giants. He also ran six times for 27 yards. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Smith had another highly efficient game and kept it on track for another 49ers win. His fantasy value is minimal, but his real NFL value has gone through the roof this year. NYG - RB Brandon Jacobs mostly held in check Source: KFFL.com New York Giants RB Brandon Jacobs carried 18 times for 55 yards in Week 10 against the San Francisco 49ers, and he added two grabs for 17 yards. He made another start with RB (foot) inactive again. RB posted nine carries for 34 yards, and added 34 yards on five receptions. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The 49ers still haven't allowed a rushing TD or a 100-yard game to an RB. Beanie Wells will be their next victim in week 11. NYG - WR Hakeem Nicks scores in Week 10 Source: KFFL.com New York Giants WR Hakeem Nicks (hamstring) had two receptions for 41, including a 32-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter, in Week 10 against the San Francisco 49ers. The end zone visit was his first since Week 5. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Nicks didn't get targeted or open all that often, but when he did, Manning found him with a perfect deep ball. He should only get healthier for next week's challenging matchup against the Eagles secondary. NYG - WR Mario Manningham finds end zone Source: KFFL.com New York Giants WR Mario Manningham (knee) had six receptions for 77 yards and a touchdown in Week 10 against the San Francisco 49ers. Manningham has visited the end zone in three consecutive games. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Manningham was a game-time decision, but he came through with a back-pylon TD catch for the second straight week. He also could have tied the game late with a bomb that went glancing off of his outstretched fingertips and caused an interception by breaking off a route. He is a WR2 going forward with Eli Manning playing the best football of his career. DET - QB Matthew Stafford picked off four times Source: MLive.com - Anwar Richardson Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford completed 33 of 63 passes for 329 yards, one touchdown and four interceptions in the Week 10 loss against the Chicago Bears. Stafford struggled while wearing gloves. He entered the game with just four interceptions. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Stafford threw two pick sixes and both were horrible decisions. He looked off all day and has struggled against good defenses after fattening up on some bad teams early in the season. His hold on QB1 status is tenuous. DET - WR Calvin Johnson targeted whopping 19 times Source: MLive.com - Anwar Richardson Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson had seven receptions for 81 yards in Week 10 against the Chicago Bears, even though he was targeted a whopping 19 times. He also did not find the end zone for just the second game in nine starts this season. Johnson also lost a fumble in the loss, his first since 2009. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Johnson just wasn't sharp (like the rest of the Lions). It is heartening that he can have that kind of stat line in his worst game in a long time. DET - RB Kevin Smith has six touches in return Source: KFFL.com Detroit Lions RB Kevin Smith had four carries for 19 yards in Week 10 against the Chicago Bears, and he added two receptions for 10 yards in his first game back with the team after re-signing earlier in the week. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Smith knows the system and he was in great shape for his tryout. Next week vs. the poor Carolina run defense he could have desperation play value. CHI - WR Earl Bennett leads way again in Week 10 Source: KFFL.com Chicago Bears WR Earl Bennett had six receptions for 81 yards in Week 10 against the Detroit Lions, leading the team in receiving for the second straight week since returning from a chest injury. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] It's clear that Bennett is the WR1 the Bears have been lacking all year. He caught 2/3 of Cutler's completions and Bennett is a strong WR3 in PPR leagues trending upwards. CHI - RB Matt Forte runs for 64 yards, TD Source: KFFL.com Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte carried 18 times for 64 yards and a touchdown in Week 10 against the Detroit Lions. He also added a 3-yard reception. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Forte could have had a bigger day if the Bears didn't run away and hide from the Lions with defensive and return touchdowns. He is still a strong RB1 and he should do well against the Chargers defense that Michael Bush shredded on Thursday. CHI - QB Jay Cutler completes just nine passes in victory Source: KFFL.com Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler completed just 9 of 19 passes for 123 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 10 against the Detroit Lions. He also ran four times for 18 yards and lost a fumble. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Bears love seeing stat lines like this for Cutler because it means their running game, defense, and special teams carried the day. SEA - RB Marshawn Lynch runs for 109 yards, TD Source: KFFL.com Seattle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch carried 32 times for 109 yards and a touchdown in Week 10 against the Baltimore Ravens. Lynch has back-to-back 100-yard rushing games for the first time in his career. He also added five receptions for 58 yards. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Lynch was undeniable and ran much better than his middling yards per carry indicates. He's an RB2 with RB1 upside in good matchups like the Rams game next week. SEA - QB Tarvaris Jackson does little in win Source: KFFL.com Seattle Seahawks QB Tarvaris Jackson completed 17 of 27 passes for 217 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 10 against the Baltimore Ravens. He was also limited to three yards on five rushes. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Jackson had a great bounce back week against a tough defense after throwing three picks against the Cowboys in week 9. He should have a solid fantasy outlook next week against the Rams. BAL - TE Ed Dickson has huge game in Week 10 Source: Carroll County Times - Aaron Wilson Baltimore Ravens TE Ed Dickson had 10 receptions for 79 yards and two touchdowns in Week 10 against the Seattle Seahawks. Dickson, who played his college ball in the Pacific Northwest at Oregon, hadn't scored since Week 1, when he had 59 yards, his previous yardage high this season. The 10 grabs and two scores were both career highs for Dickson. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Dennis Pitta was emerging as a trusted target from the TE position, now it is Dickson's turn. He is worth a pickup if you are hurting at TE or need to cover a Jimmy Graham or Owen Daniels bye next week. ATL - QB Matt Ryan productive Week 10 Source: The Associated Press Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan went 29-for-52 for 351 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in Week 10 against the New Orleans Saints. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Ryan had a good fantasy day, but it took 52 attempts and big comeback attempt in the second half. The good news is that he did it without Julio Jones for most of the game. Next week, the Falcons face the Titans secondary that shut down Cam Newton. CAR - Cam Newton struggles in Week 10 Source: The Associated Press Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton went 23-for-40 for 212 yards and one interception against the Tennessee Titans in Week 10. He also rushed for 55 yards on seven carries in the game. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Newton salvaged a good fantasy day with his running ability and some garbage time passing stats. He struggled as bad as he has all year, but he is still a QB1 as he showed that 15 points is his floor today. TEN - RB Chris Johnson has productive game Source: The Associated Press Tennessee Titans RB Chris Johnson rushed for 130 yards and one touchdown on 27 carries against the Carolina Panthers in Week 10. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Johnson was bottled up a bit early, but ran well against a poor Panthers run defense. The Falcons front seven played very well today, but Johnson is still worth an RB2 start against them next week. TEN - QB Matt Hasselbeck solid in Week 10 Source: The Associated Press Tennessee Titans QB Matt Hasselbeck went 15-for-27 for 219 yards, one touchdown and one interception against the Carolina Panthers in Week 10. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Hasselbeck has something good going with Damian Williams and he should be a decent bye week fill-in for Ben Roethlisberger, Drew Brees, or Matt Schaub next week. HOU - RB Ben Tate productive Week 10 Source: The Associated Press Houston Texans RB Ben Tate rushed for 63 yards and one touchdown on 13 carries in Week 10 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Tate scored late, although his owners couldn't like seeing Derrick Ward get carries for most of the game. He is still the primary backup to Arian Foster, but you have to wonder if he would be the feature back if Foster goes down. HOU - RB Arian Foster a factor in run, pass game Source: The Associated Press Houston Texans RB Arian Foster rushed for 84 yards and one touchdown on 17 carries in Week 10 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He also caught four passes for 102 yards and one touchdown in the game. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Foster has resumed his #1 overall fantasy RB status after a tough start to the season with hamstring injuries. The late bye next week will have him firing on all cylinders entering the stretch run and fantasy playoffs. PHI - RB LeSean McCoy gets into end zone Source: The Associated Press Philadelphia Eagles RB LeSean McCoy rushed for 81 yards and one touchdown on 14 carries against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 10. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Eagles crushing loss was no fault of McCoy, who has been their best player on offense all year. He has arrived as an elite no brainer start, and that is continuing even while his QB is struggling. PHI - QB Michael Vick struggles in Week 10 Source: The Associated Press Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick went 16-for-34 for 128 yards and two interceptions against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 10. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Vick continues to regress to his Atlanta Falcon form, and his fantasy numbers are bottoming out. He is still hard to bench because of his running ability, but this is two terrible games in a row with the Giants relentless pass rush up next. ARI - WR Larry Fitzgerald has big game Source: The Associated Press Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald caught seven passes for 146 yards and two touchdowns against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 10. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Fitzgerald was able to make huge plays downfield against the vaunted Eagles secondary. He is back to being a no brainer #1 fantasy WR after producing his best numbers in his toughest matchup of the year. ARI - QB John Skelton throws three TDs Source: The Associated Press Arizona Cardinals QB John Skelton went 21-for-40 for 315 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 10. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Skelton threw a pick six and bounced right back to lead a TD drive. He is clearly better than Kevin Kolb, but the team has so much invested in Kolb that they may go back to the big off-season acquisition once he is healthy enough to play. MIA - WR Brandon Marshall productive Week 10 Source: The Associated Press Miami Dolphins WR Brandon Marshall caught seven passes for 98 yards in Week 10 against the Washington Redskins. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Marshall was getting free downfield with ease against the Redskins secondary. He and Matt Moore seem to be on the same page now and he should flourish next week against the Bills corners that played as bad as any in the league today. MIA - RB Reggie Bush scores twice Source: The Associated Press Miami Dolphins RB Reggie Bush rushed for 47 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries in Week 10 against the Washington Redskins. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Bush didn't ran that effectively most of the afternoon, but he showed speed and elusiveness he has at his best moments on his 18-yard TD run. He'll be worth a start vs. the crumbling Bills run defense next week. KC - RB Dexter McCluster produces in run, pass game Source: The Associated Press Kansas City Chiefs RB Dexter McCluster rushed for 45 yards on eight carries against the Denver Broncos in Week 10. McCluster also caught six passes for 48 yards in the game. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] McCluster also fumbled, although Todd Haley did stick with him. The Chiefs are using him more like the way the Saints use Darren Sproles, which is a boon for his fantasy value. DEN - Tim Tebow accounts for two TDs Source: The Associated Press Denver Broncos QB Tim Tebow went 2-for-8 for 69 yards and one touchdown against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 10. He also rushed for 43 yards and one touchdown on nine carries. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] The Broncos didn't pass because they didn't need to. Tebow was off earlier, but perfect on a bomb to Eric Decker to open up the margin of victory in the second half. Once again Tebow had a very solid fantasy day even though he was not effective as a passer very often. The Broncos week 11 opponent, the Jets, are a tough matchup against the pass, but it might not matter because the Broncos are running a mid-20th century offense. CLE - RB Chris Ogbonnaya effective Week 10 Source: The Associated Press Cleveland Browns RB Chris Ogbonnaya rushed for 90 yards on 19 carries against the St. Louis Rams in Week 10. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Ogbonnaya looked terrible last week, but he bounced back in a big way this week. He might be worth a flex start even though he is facing the underrated Jags run defense. STL - RB Steven Jackson rushes for more than 100 yards Source: The Associated Press St. Louis Rams RB Steven Jackson rushed for 128 yards on 27 carries against the Cleveland Browns in Week 10. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Jackson has been a beast since the Rams become more competitive. He will be a top 15 play despite the bad matchup vs. the stout Seahawks run defense next week. STL - QB Sam Bradford has decent outing Week 10 Source: The Associated Press St. Louis Rams QB Sam Bradford went 15-for-26 for one touchdown and one interception against the Cleveland Browns in Week 10. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Bradford suffered a new leg injury and got less accurate as the game went on. He has a good matchup vs. the Seahawks next week, but it is hard to trust him right now. CIN - A.J. Green makes only reception count Source: The Associated Press Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (knee) caught one pass for 36 yards and one touchdown in Week 10 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Green briefly returned to the game but sat out most of the second half. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Green's knee buckled when he came down on the TD catch. He didn't seem to be seriously hurt, but he wasn't comfortable enough to finish the game. CIN - Andy Dalton throws two TDs, INTs Source: The Associated Press Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton went 15-for-30 for 170 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in Week 10 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Dalton hit AJ Green on a jumpball between two defenders, but otherwise had trouble with the toughest defense he faced this year. The rookie did play well enough to keep the Bengals in the game, but he telegraphed a throw late to end the Bengals chances to win. PIT - QB Ben Roethlisberger solid in Week 10 Source: The Associated Press Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger went 21-for-33 for 245 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Week 10 against the Cincinnati Bengals. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Roethlisberger was efficient, especially on third and long, and he spread the ball around. He had another TD pass to Jerricho Cotchery called back by a penalty and performed well against a tough defense. His fantasy numbers weren't great, but he is still a QB1 entering the bye. DAL - WR Dez Bryant plays well Week 10 Source: The Associated Press Dallas Cowboys WR Dez Bryant caught six passes for 74 yards and one touchdown against the Buffalo Bills in Week 10. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Bryant looked unstoppable at times and bailed out Romo on a bad throw to turn it into an early TD. He is a borderline WR1 and the kind of player you try to talk yourself into playing every week. BUF - RB Fred Jackson surpasses 100-yard mark Source: The Associated Press Buffalo Bills RB Fred Jackson rushed for 114 yards on 13 carries against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 10. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Jackson has been able to produce in embarrassing losses the last two weeks, cementing his status as a fantasy RB1. He has a better matchup next week against the Dolphins. <a href="http://scores.espn.go.com/nfl/recap?gameId=311113006" style="color: maroon; text-decoration: none" target="_blank">BUF - QB Ryan Fitzpatrick struggles in Week 10 Source: The Associated Press Buffalo Bills QB Ryan Fitzpatrick went 20-for-31 for 146 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 10. [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ OUR VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] Fitzpatrick started the year red hot, but he has come back to earth. The timing is terrible for the Bills organization as they just committed more than twenty million guaranteed dollars to the Harvard product.
