giantsfan
I love it. I get to start this thread EVERY WEEK. The man is simply put the worst coach in the league. Today's edition is once again playing not to lose instead of to win. 3rd and 5. A 1st down wins the game. Stafford has thrown for 313 yards. And what do you do...RUN THE BALL AND DON'T GET THE 1st DOWN. Punt, Colts go down the field, score winning TD, game over. I love this man. The gift that keeps on giving. Every week I start this thread. AWESOME. Edited December 2, 2012 by giantsfan
Lloyd Dobler
Then may da Schwartz be with ya!
CaptainHook
Let's be honest here though, on the drive previously, Stafford did not throw a good ball to Calvin Johnson. Calvin should have caught it, it was clearly a drop, but that didn't work either. After that punt, the Colts scored a TD to cut it to a five point game. If the Lions get either of those first downs, they win.
ABearWithFurniture
You have to admit that from the look of it Titus Young's reign of sabotaging the Lion's season has been extremely productive...but with a bit of further digging perhaps he's got an accomplice. giantsfan
I wonder if there is any shot Schwartz gets fired. Looking at their schedule they should be 5-11 or 6-10. Mistakes all over. Zero discipline on the team. They play dirty. I was listening to the radio yesterday and they were saying how come just about every team complians about the Lions play after the game? Is everyone out to get them. Of course not. It is because they have zero discipline. I think Schwartz will get one more season after last season, but if I were a Lions fan I would want to see them clean house and get a whole new staff in there. They have talent. A few more players added on D and they will be real good. I would make the move and get a good coach in there. I doubt it happens though. Sure Schwartz gets one more season, and dude better look in the mirror and say enough of the undisciplined play.

If I'm the owner of the Lions, I'd ask myself what is the pathway to success for this team under Schwartz? What can I reasonably expect to improve next season that was either missing this year or underperformed in some way? Personally, I don't see it. Asking Schwartz to come back is recapitulating this year's error in San Diego with Norv Turner. At this point, what you see is what you get with these two head coaches. If it were me I would fire him while the core of my team is still relatively young, bring in a new coach with fresh ideas, and hope to be regularly winning the division in 2-3 years. I agree they have a good nucleus of players.
