XFlash
It will most likely be Foster maybe getting 10 or fewer touches each game as Kubiak will rest the stud for playoffs. Tate is back from injury, but I do not know if he will be the primary or if Forsett will still take way carries. More of a 50/50 split as to keep both primed for backup duty when playoffs start. I think they will give Tate the lion share as he is the successor to Foster (if/when the over 370 carries rule applies). What say anybody else on the situation? EDIT: I made the playoffs and worried that I will have to bench Foster the rest of the season and play matchups or pick up Tate or Forsett. Even that is a roll of the dice. i_am_the_swammi
Wait, I am confused....the Texans have put together a stellar record, and are likely just two wins from wrapping up home field advantage throughout the playoffs. However, a hugh game lurks in New England...if the Pats win this weekend, they are just one game back ,and will own the tiebreaker over Houston. And even if the Texans do beat the Pats, they still will have to worry about the Ravens and Broncos catching them...at least thru Week 15. All that said...why on earth would they jeopardize the #1 seed by resting their best player?
Joebirds55
Well what if they win on Monday? They went trough the motions this past week. They may not bench foster but he could certainly receive a highly decreased work load.
CaptainHook
They haven't even won the division yet. They've got a big game at New England and two games against the Colts left. I don't see them resting until they win one of those three games.

pseudolefty
As a Foster owner in 2 leagues, I have Tate as the backup in both and will roll with Tate if the Texans start resting Foster. There was a thread last week with a link to an article about Tate being much more talented than Forsett. I can't afford the roster space to pickup Forsett and hold 3 RBs from the same team. That being said, I actually hope the Texans play hard this week against the Pats, give Foster a substantial workload so he can rack up points, but lose so they keep having to contend with the Pats, Broncos, and Ravens for home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. A little twisted, but not from a Fantasy perspective.
Joebirds55
They'll definitely be going 100% this week for sure. It's weeks 15 and 16 that I'd be more concerned about. Fantasy playoffs start just in time for them to sit their studs (assuming they win on Monday)
dougsul
Well I only look at stats, and from last week Fosters carries are down, The games of him getting 90% of the carries are over barring injuries. I see Foster getting like 60% Tate 25% and Forsett 15%. Hopefully he gets the goal line carries which he has always done a great job of. Do Work Son
All Foster owners should be rooting for patriots to win. Unless of course your a fan of the team and have foster. Im not. Lets go pats

If you watched the game last week (I did) it was very clear that they were making a concerted effort to scale back Foster's carries. Forsett and Tate were seeing touches early on each offensive series, and late in the game when it was out of reach. But when it really mattered (red zone, 3rd down) Foster was the guy getting the rock. I'd expect more of the same going forward - if the games are close (or Houston is down), I'd expect a heavy workload for Foster, but they get out in front all bets are off. The other thing I notice this year (vs last year) is the run blocking is nowhere near as good as it has been in the past. The holes aren't really there, and the RBs are getting met in the backfield or as they hit the edge way too often. stevegrab
Wasn't last week the first week that Tate was back from a long absence with injury? I know I drafted him hoping he'd have some value and watched him sit out or do nothing most of the season before I finally dropped him. I'd assume with both Tate and Forsett available there is a better chance they rest Foster more than before. It sucks, but those are the risks of having a top talent on a good team that might have playoffs locked up.
e5volcano
Even with Forsett getting more carries last week, Tate is a better pickup?
XFlash
Even with Forsett getting more carries last week, Tate is a better pickup? Forsett went against softer defenses. Not to say that he will be moved to the back burner, but HOU knows what they have in Tate and will want to get him back in the flow to be ready for playoffs. I'm really hoping that Foster gets a majority against the PATS since HOU really needs this game to cement their home field standing.
nelsosi
This week's game is huge for Houston. I would expect Foster will be heavily used (assuming the game doesn't get out of hand in either direction).
