3rd and schlong
Does anyone thing any teams are apt to rest players this weekend due to the playoff picture, ext?
DMD
Not this weekend by any means. I might worry about the Falcons in the last week or even two. But not this weekend. There are still seedings to secure if nothing else as the top teams want that bye and homefield.

nelsosi
Still way too early Maybe in the 4th quarter if games are out of hand, but that's it. Edited December 9, 2012 by nelsosi

Joebirds55
Are there any concerns about teams that may rest players in the upcoming week 16? It doesn't look like anything is set in stone except maybe Atlanta? Any teams you're specifically concerned about?
detlef
Are there any concerns about teams that may rest players in the upcoming week 16? It doesn't look like anything is set in stone except maybe Atlanta? Any teams you're specifically concerned about? They're not etched in stone either. Apparently if GB and SF win out while ATL loses both, they lose the bye. Considering ATL plays before everyone else this week, it would seem pretty stupid for them to rest anyone unless they had their game in hand. ETA Confirmed: GB has a loss to an AFC team and ATL doesn't. So, assuming that conference records would be the tie break if ATL and GB both finished 12-4, GB's would be better. SF, obviously, doesn't factor in a tie break because they'd be a half game ahead if they won out and ATL lost. ETA2: Same story with AFC, not only is home field not locked up, but the top 2 seeds aren't either. And I would imagine that the bye is more important than the 1 vs 2 seed. Joebirds55
Okay so looks like nothing to worry about in regards to starters. My main concern was Andre Johnson, given his injuries in the past Houston would def want him healthy for the playoffs....only worry I guess would be a guy sitting late in the game in a blowout, hopefully by that times he's already put up monster numbers
nelsosi
only worry I guess would be a guy sitting late in the game in a blowout This would be the big concern this week. If any games get out of hand for a playoff team, I would expect starters to be pulled.
LbNiners
was worried earlier in the season with Ryan/Julio but the 2 loses will def. prevent them from resting this week, they need to lock up #1 seed in NFC, same with Hou.
