Cowboyz1
Wow what a game. To come in to natty with heavy hearts and a makeshift defensive backfield and line, and flat out take it to the Bengals. Well I feel darn right proud. Slip was absolutely incredible today. If anyone thinks Slip is not elite then all they have to do is watch the last three games. Today he carried the Cowboys on his back and willed them to victory. He is playing some of his best ball as of late. No protection, no running game, no problem.......He finds a way to get the job done. Damn proud to be a Cowboys fan today for sure. Spencer came through in the clutch as did the entire secondary. I just can not believe how well these guys are playing with all the starters out. I still don't expect much out of this team because of injuries but man oh man it's nice to see a team play with heart. Hats off boys. Well done. Looks like we will fight fight fight to the very end. whomper
I would have been nice if the Ravens could have held on to win. Still a nice win on the road for the Boys. I dont expect much but its nice to see them not fold like a house of cards and roll over and die

ThatDude
I guess I'm just a bitter Cowboys fan tired of Jerry Jones and the cheap we have seen for 15+ years but this team won't do anything in the playoffs if they sneak in. All they are doing at this point now is turning a top 10 pick to mid to high teens and keeping Garret's job next year
i_am_the_swammi
Like I said last week.... we were better off at 3-9 than you were at 6-6 because we aren't delusional that our team sucks. This thread proves it.

This thread proves it. The old, oh yeah, well I'm glad our team sucks worse than yours, because you aren't going to win anything anyway and we'll get a better pick........weak. If you make the playoffs, you never know. 2011: Giants 4th Seed 2010: Packers 6th Seed 2007: Giants 5th Seed 2005: Steelers 6th Seed I don't think the Cowboys are going to do anything either, but, I can't sit here and say that I thought any of the teams above, except the Packers, were going to win anything that year either. You never know. Make the dance and you've got a chance. Edited December 9, 2012 by Menudo
Menudo
By the way, continuing to state that Romo is elite doesn't make it so. You have to win something of merit to be elite. He hasn't done that yet. Look at the truly elite QB's (Peyton, Rodgers, Brees, Brady) and tell me he belongs. I would argue that Eli & Big Drama are the next tier and Romo is in the next tier down. Romo still might win a big one at some point and join the conversation, but, until then, he simply doesn't belong in the group.

Menudo
who cares? The guy who continues to claim that Romo is elite, despite no supporting evidence, and those of us who laugh at the continued claim. ....and obviously, you. Everything that has ever been posted that is the least bit negative about the Cowboys bothers you and has for years. P.S. Why were you acting like I just posted that for no reason. It was in response to the original post and this is a football message board, where we discuss football and respond to one another. I guess either... 1. don't know he's fishing for you on a weekly basis...or 2. don't mind having a sore lip from all the hooks in them.. which is it? First, I haven't posted on the Huddle in about a month, so, #1 is laughable.......weekly basis. Second, dude isn't fishing, and defending his post by pretending he is = weak sauce. I've always loved the fishing defense. By the way, next week will be interesting. The Steelers looked like they were on track with the Ravens win, only to fall apart embarrassingly at home to the Chargers. I guess whichever team trips over itself less will win next Sunday, as both teams have shown that they are very capable of tripping over themselves often. It is a HUGH game for both teams though. Weak sauce? the nutjob OP came on last week thrilled that his team won a slugfest by giving up 33 points to a struggling 3-9 offense....and now is crowing loudly that things are getting interesting because you beat the Bengals....yeah, the bengals. Cmon dude....you know as well as I that in order to get better you need to admit your liabilities. We know we need a new QB, a new HC, and an overhaul on defense. Our record tells us that. Conversely, as the OP points out, at 7-6, your hope is growing, and you guys are starting to think you don't need to clean house. Which in reality is great for the rest of the NFC East. Your just sore because the Eagles are so horrible and the Cowboys, despite having injuries at practically every position, find a way to get the job done on the road even under the worst of circumstances. If your Eagles had any kind of heart they may have your respect but they don't thus are an embarrasement to you, the fans and themselves. This is a "COWBOYS" celebration thread for a great game played by a depeated roster who just lost two teamates to a juvenile mistake. If this were a pitty party for washed up teams and lame duck coaches, then you would be welcome. As this is hardly that kind of thread..........Beat it bub. Oh swamm I love reeling you in and throwing you back......reeling you in and throwing you back....... He's playing as bad a Rivers. How many picks has he thrown in the past three games? Rodgers isn't playing all that well either. Right now i put slip up against any of those QB's. You put any one of them behind our line and I bet Slip out produces every one of them. Hell as I speak Roders is getting shut out. Have no dog in this hunt and realize you're going to go at it regardless....but....as an outside observer I think Swammi is right from the Cowboys perspective. A road win is certainly a good thing but, fundamentally, the Cowboys are a broken franchise. Winning now obscures the inevitable and is going to potentially give you a zombie year next year - much like the Chargers or Lions this year. Cowboyz1
By the way Tony Romo is now the most prolific passer the Cowboys have every had. All he needs now is a line that will hold and the defense to stay somewhat healthy and he WILL get his superbowl ring. No question about it. He is that good and whether you want to admit it or not his numbers speak for themselves. If I recall it took Elway his last two years to get a ring. Big Drama won a Super Bowl and made it to another one behind absolutely pathetic offensive lines. You are right though, Romo is having an elite season. I mean he came into today's game with the 13th best QB Rating and 20 TD's to go with 16 INT's. If that isn't elite, I don't know what is. Cue you making excuses for each interception........ Playing like the Colts last year is chicken$hit. You play to win the game. Our core is fine all we need is two linemen on both sides of the ball and replacement for Ogletree and we will be fine. We get our LB's back next year and a few more good players on D and look out.
