The Grey Pilgrim
Had two teams in the playoffs last week, and neither showed up to play. I lost 119-60 and 93-55. After Schaub's long pass to AJ to start the Texan game, which is a nice way to start the day, it was all downhill from there. I made a couple of last minute changes to my lineup (always dangerous). Here is a combined list of the folks that did not show up from those teams. Schaub, Eli, JCharles, DWilson, DMartin, Ridley, VCruz, Welker, Bryant, Denario Alexander. Of course I hate to lose, but my off-season will not be filled with any second guessing, woulda, shoulda, coulda's, or why did I start this guy over that guy. That is the one good thing about getting crushed. Good Luck to the teams still alive.
zekez
Sounds like my team. I had DMartin, JCharles, DAlexander, and BMeyers is my money league and got creamed. You are right about the fact that theres very little second guessing to do (aside from the fact that I started Det DEF over Den DEF), I had absolutely no chance. No way I draft another Buc or Chief next year, yuck.
Knarl
If I had started my Cardinals D/ST instead of picking up and starting the Lions D/ST, I would be in the championship game. Instead, I'm in the consolation game. But at least I don't have to go up against the AP/Marshall/Brady owner that made the playoffs at 6-7 and has been steamrolling people. darin3
Yup I got absolutely crushed in the game I was really hoping to win. Opponent's team just blew up up and down the roster. IDPs too. My guys just didn't come to play - Charles and Wayne to name a couple - and it was a pretty low Sunday. On the flip side, I picked up and started the TEN D to take advantage of the mess that is Mark Sanchez and the Jet offense.... needed 8 points going into Monday night and they got me 18. Just a rinky-dink little 8-team work league, but it's for bragging rights at a relatively new job.
Scorcher
Starting Freeman really hurt. Having TD:s for Foster and Wayne called back for penalties helped cost me the game as well.
