brg88tx
When (not if) jacksonville gets behind on the scoreboard do they still use montell owens or do they put in a (3rd down/pass catching) back instead? thanks trying to decide if he's worthy of my last flex spot Edited December 21, 2012 by brg88tx
LosGatosEnFuegos
FWIW: 1 - Owens saw every RB touch in the 4th quarter of the Miami game. They were all runs on the first series. He had no touches on their second and final drive. 2 - Owens is the only RB that caught a pass last week (one pass). 3 - Owens splits time with Richard Murphy. Murphy has not caught a pass in the last two weeks. 4 - The only RB to catch a pass on 3rd down in the last two weeks was Todman, who is now on IR. He caught one pass in week 14. So, Owens will most likely be in because Murphy doesn't seem to take away passes. But you have a back that is barely used as a receiver on a team that, at the moment, doesn't use any back regularly as a receiver. So if JAC abandons the run, it seems that they abandon their backs altogether.

3rd and schlong
I'd pass on him against NE unless you have any better options.
