Fire Mike Tomlin

Really with all the injuries they've had and the divison their in is tough. Big Ben made mistakes that have cost them the last two games. There a little long in the tooth in some positions no doubt but ultimately the injuries have been a deciding factor. Why would you want Tomlin fired. I'd like to know if other steeler fans feel this way.

Absolutely not. Tomlin is the last thing we need to change. We've been depleted by injuries all year. No O line AGAIN, although they haven't been as bad as it could have been. Ben has not played well. I HATE the new offense that Todd Haley has brought in, running game is gone, no deep balls to Wallace which was bread and butter the last 2 years... we'll be back next year

As a fan with no feelings about the Steelers one way or the other, it's really not clear to me what Todd Haley adds to the team. Granted, they went into the season without an RB1 and their O-line, as already mentioned, was atrocious but still - not very inspiring play.

Looks like getting rid of Arians was probably not the best move. Can anyone remind me, if known, why they did that??

I understand feeling this way after being dominated on your home field against the vastly superior Bengal squad, but honestly, it wasn't Tomlin throwing those INTs and giving up sacks left and right. You would think someone with his track record could get a little loyalty from the fan base, but that the Steele Curtain for ya. Hang your head in shame.

Tomlin has consistantly made awful in game decisions the past two weeks, and over the course of the past few years. Why on earth would you not punt instead of suisam trying a 53 yarder. Steelers woulda had the ball at midfield. Throwing with 30 seconds left and one time out. Sit on the ball, jesus christ.

I'm not trying to disagree with you, I see your point of view. I will say that points were really hard to come by in this game they had a chance and they took it. 53 yards is not unreasonable. The same could be said about punting it and having the other team not do anything with it, but the Steelers weren't exactly moving the ball the entire game.

A large portion of Steeler fans are spoiled and pathetic. The Steelers are in contention almost every single year and rarely miss the playoffs. On the rare occasion that they do, this portion of the fan base comes out calling for everyone's head. It is the NFL, games are often close and the difference between 10-6 and 6-10 is razor thin. They simply didn't get it done this year. There were injuries galore in the areas where they didn't have depth to deal with it (O-Line and Secondary).

Mike Tomlin is a great NFL coach, and there will be no considerations at all to removing him from his position. I remember when Cowher had a couple of losing seasons and that same faction of spoiled Steeler fans were calling for his head. The Rooney's put an end to that talk by giving Cowher an extension. He got back to his winning ways and eventually got them a championship. The Steelers will be fine. One 8-8 season and a playoff miss, and the spoiled, delusional fans are calling for heads.......give me a break !!!!

Spoiled and delusional, fine. You have to admit his in-game decisions are at best questionable. He may be a "great" coach, but his intellect during the game is pathetic.

Do you know how easy it is to be an armchair coach ? I didn't like the decision to go for the Field Goal, but, he watched Suisham during warm-ups and watches him in practice. He thought he would make the field goal. Suisham came up a bit short. There are lots of decisions that Tomlin makes that I disagree with. There were lots of decisions Cowher made that I disagree with. I'm sure there are lots of decisions that Belichick makes that Patriots fans disagree with. I still think that all three mentioned are fine coaches. Like I said, it easy to be an armchair coach, but, on the job, there are tough decisions to make.

There are very few coaches I'd rather have than Mike Tomlin.

Fire him so the Chargers can jump all over him.

No way Browns get first dibs. Heck I think we'd be happy with many recently or soon to be fired "bad" coaches, Turner, Marty, Reid. I just hope if we have another change they stick with this group (GM, coach, key players) long enough to give them a chance for sucesss.

PS Browns could put the Steelers in AFC North last place with a win in PIT next Sunday, that would be sweet.

7-8 still, need to beat the Browns to get to 8-8 and not end up in last place in the division ;)

I agree with you though, firing Tomlin would be beyond idiotic. Whenever fans of a relatively successful team talk about firing their coach (like the Charges with Marty a few years ago) you have to ask, who are you going to get that is better. Not MIGHT be better, but WILL be better, because throwing out a good coach because of one bad season (or failing to win "the big game") is a big risk.
