chinatown dragons Posted December 24, 2012 Share Posted December 24, 2012 With another dud of a game from Cruz (2 lousy points....!!!), saw my hopes for a Championship dashed (lost by 6......even with that team having mediocre game from All Day, and Forte going down with an injury..).... All I needed was a TD, or a decent yadage game from Cruz......! who else lost close championship game this weekend, with a 'stud' type player under-whelming for them??? So assumed gore would put up numbers that would remove myself from any second guessing. Buttttt...that didn't happen, gore didn't do squat and now I wish I could've made different choices. For one turner over leshoure was stupid, cost me a handful of points there. Jets over colts d was a handful, as well as Brady picking a great time to have an awful game. That and Jamal Charles will have me thinking about this one all off season. I think any other Brady owner that made it to the finals may be in the same boat, against the jags too, ugh. I've hated the pats forever but went Brady gronk 1-2 this year. Silver lining is at least I can continue my dislike for the pats (although my respect an admiration for Brady and the team has gone up tremendously. Delicious_bass Posted December 24, 2012 Share Posted December 24, 2012 As I mentioned in another thread, its amazing to me the Giants (Cruz in particular) didnt have better stats after being waxed two weeks in a row in games they really needed to show up for. I mean, Jeezus, you would think some garbage yards or scores in games they were trailing big most of the way was not out of the question, wouldnt ya? Ended up 40 yards from Cruz was all I needed to take 3rd in one league. Nope. Still managed to win despite the 2.1 points in another but got pretty friggin lucky to do so. Vikings_Fan Posted December 25, 2012 Share Posted December 25, 2012 In the PPR league I play in I lost by 1 point! 1 more catch for 9 yards and I would be lifting up the championship trophy. Its a super league comprised of 2 conferences of 10 teams. Only time each conference plays the other conference is the final week 16 so thats the only week teams playing each other can have same players going against each other. My opponent also had Cruz but in hopes of catching my lead from Calvin Johnsons performance he at the very last moment decided to bench Cruz and start Brandon Lloyd.
