rajncajn
http://telly.com/01N9CG This day & age that is just flat out sad. Hell, our local high school field is better than that.

stevegrab
Looks like the old Browns stadium field. Used to love when they had to spray paint it green. Wonder how it got in such bad shape, was it mostly the DAL-WAS game Sunday night the prior weekend? Also, anybody know if they really had any time to fix it between those two games? Doesn't new sod take longer to get set (roots growing into ground)?
Big John
Also, anybody know if they really had any time to fix it between those two games? Doesn't new sod take longer to get set (roots growing into ground)? For the 1996 season, they replaced the sod in Green Bay for a game 1 week after the old turf was ruined in a playoff game. DMD
I will not believe anything other than they intentionally left the field that way because they felt it was a competitive advantage. I heard one of the Redskins players said it was their homefield advantage. And tell me you would not expect less from Shanahan. Even my wife walked by the TV and asked why they were playing on such a crappy field. The Redskins are plenty flush with cash as one of the most valuable sports properties in the world. They can afford a better field, they think it is harder on the other team.
DMD
“That’s just part of our home-field advantage,” Griffin said after the Washington Redskins‘ 24-14 wild-card playoff loss to the Seattle Seahawks. http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/jan/6/as-robert-griffin-iii-planted-his-right-foot-in-pu/
Joebirds55
Maybe they'll get turf like New England ended up doing a few years back
darin3
My WIFE even mentioned how "bad the Redskins logo looked".

rajncajn
For the 1996 season, they replaced the sod in Green Bay for a game 1 week after the old turf was ruined in a playoff game. When I did the tour of Lambeau they said that they grow the sod elsewhere and basically "sew" in new squares where it needs to be replaced.. Kinda like a patchwork quilt made of grass. Pretty cool
