NFL 2013 FAs

Again pardon if already a thread, didn't see offhand.

Hours after releasing DL Cullen Jenkins, Eagles now have released former first-round pick Mike Patterson. Cox is starting, ya think?

It's not an amazing set of FAs out there but some value for sure - where do y'all think some of the top FAs go, like Wallace, Bush, Long etc?

I think Wallace is destined to go to the Dolphins. The Chargers have been linked to Long even though they are still clearing cap space (I think they are around 12 million now with the release of Spikes).

Bush is very intriguing. Jared Cook is another one that I'm interested in seeing land in a pass heavy offense (The Bears is what I'm thinking).

Ahmad Bradshaw is claiming 100% healthy and should garner interest from several teams. The big catch at RB is going to be S.Jax as he just voided his final year today and is now a FA.

I think S Jackson to ATL which is being rumoured makes sense for both but only for a year. He's a big upgrade as he can catch and isn't just a power guy and they give him one last shot at a SB.

They would severely dent their salary cap by signing S.Jax. They have been linked to a Revis trade but that won't work either due to ..again, salary cap.

My best guess for landing spots:

Mendenhall >> Arizona

R Bush >> Detroit

S Jackson >> Tough one here. I see him wanting to go to a playoff-bound team. Atlanta/Green Bay/Denver? I'll say Green Bay but I'd love to see him talking handoffs from Matt Ryan.

Bradshaw >> Wherever SJax doesn't go, I'll say Denver.

F Jones >> New York Jets

Either Turner or Peyton Hillis >> New England

Wallace >> Miami

Jennings >> Minnesota

Welker >> New England

Amendola >> Philadelphia

Cook >> Oakland

J Long >> Chicago

Vollmer >> New England

A Smith >> Miami

Loadholt >> Indianapolis

Bushrod >> New Orleans

Levitre >> Tennessee

Kruger >> Cleveland

Umenyiora >> Atlanta

Freeney >> Denver

Bennett >> Tampa Bay

Ellerbe >> Cleveland

Goldson >> Tampa Bay

Reed >> San Francisco

L Landry >> Philadelphia

Grimes >> Atlanta

S Smith >> San Francisco

Nice list bro. San Diego just cleared almost $2m more by releasing McMichael boosting there cap space to +/- $14m. The Chargers need to land at least one big name or Bolt fans are gonna cry wolf with this new regime.

I like Cook to the Bears TBH.

Heard a rumor that Eric Winston may be signing with San Diego.

Jeromey Clary is the incumbent RT but is obviously a hugh downgrade from Winston. He visted yesterday I believe...we'll see. I would be stoked to get a guy perfectly fit for the new zone blocking scheme.

Kruger >> Cleveland

Ellerbe >> Cleveland

I heard the Browns are offering Kruger a lot and seem likely to sign him. My friend said some in the national media are tearing the Browns on this move, saying they are spending too much and Kruger was a system guy, benefiting from playing with Suggs and Lewis, talent he won't have around him in CLE.

I hope the Browns do something at QB in FA, but know there are not many great options. I'm afraid if they don't they will spend too much in the draft to get some competition for Weeden.

I think Sheard and Jackson are pretty nice compliments for Kruger.

I would be very suprised if that happened.

On SportsCenter Tuesday, ESPN's Adam Schefter mentioned the Rams and Vikings as "the two teams that would be poised" to make restricted free agent Victor Cruz an offer sheet.

Schefter acknowledged, however, that the Rams "don't sound particularly interested." He was more optimistic about the Vikings, but they are "expected to make contact with Greg Jennings" in unrestricted free agency before tapping into the RFA market. The Vikings are also "perhaps" expected to talk to Danny Amendola. "In an ideal world," Schefter said, neither St. Louis nor Minnesota would surrender the first-round pick and large contract it would take to land Cruz.

A better explanation of what I posted, but stil.
