Menudo
So, who do you want drafted for your team, who is realistic based on where they are picking ? Steeler 1.17: 1st Choice - Tyler Eifert (TE - Notre Dame): I love this kid. I had him in my college fantasy league, so, I watched him every game. The kid can block and is a great receiver. With Heath Miller being injured and likely to miss the first half of the season, Eifert could help immediately. Miller is also getting up in age and Eifert would be a great replacement. 2nd Choice - Jarvis Jones (OLB - Georgia): I would be just fine getting Jones here. This is definitely an area of need, and Jones would fit the 3-4 nicely. 3rd Choice - Kenny Vaccaro (S - Texas): Polamalu and Clark are at the end of their careers. The Steelers definitely need a safety. Vaccarro is very athletic and would be a solid pick here. 4th Choice - Cordarrelle Patterson (WR - Tennessee): I don't usually like going potential over production in the 1st round, but, Patterson could be an exception. I also had him in my college league, and this kid is an athletic freak. The Steelers have a need here, but, with Sanders & Brown, Patterson could have some time to develop. Papajohn
I am convinced the Patrots will trade down unless a real stud falls to them and I am okay with that. They need more picks in this draft

BeeR
Colts I hope the best DT or DE avail. I don't think they've had a great DL since the Bert Jones days. SO sick of it. Fortunately the draft is deep here, esp DEs. Datone Jones seems to be a popular mock pick and that'd be fine with me. Others going in similar range would work too like Carradine etc. If a guy like Ogletree is there he's more of a boom/bust which I don't prefer, but if (I say if) he works out........ Failing that, another quality OL would not break my heart. I could live with a WR even, like Allen or some such. Would have rather had Eifert, but, I like what Jarvis can bring to the table.

BeeR
Werner works. I suspect D Jones may have been the better play but Werner could be a "JJ Watts light" kinda guy. He does need to bulk up a bit though. The pisser is Floyd going right before them - did they even try to offer a modest pick to move up a spot I wonder (doubt it). stevegrab
The Browns are going to trade down and take Eifert Was your thinking that was the plan if one of the 3 top pass rushers (Jordan, Ansah & Mingo) were not there. I know I heard they had a deal in place to trade down, but didn't since Mingo was still there. Most probably didn't expect 3 OT in the first 5 picks. TitansFan
Very excited that the Titans were able to grab Warmack. I was worried the Jets were going to take him after Cooper and Austin got taken right in front of them, but I'm glad they didn't. Now I'd like to see a DE and a S with two of their three picks today. Cyprien out of Florida International would be fantastic, but DE is probably a bit more of a need in round 2. We'll see.
whomper
Aynone not named Travis Frederick before round 3 Nothing against the guys as I hear he is a solid player but trading down 12 spots and only getting 1 pick back and then taking a guy that you could have gotten one, maybe 2 rounds later is bad even by Jerrys standards. It really goes to show that all the early 90's glory was Jimmy Johnsons doing. Jerry hired Jimmy. We will give him that much

Menudo
I love the Le'Veon Bell pick. Had him in my college league and watched him every weak. The guy is a beast and a perfect fit. I'm so glad they took Bell over Lacy. I think Bell will be a MUCH better NFL back than Lacy.

Menudo
How does the Steelers backfield look to shape up as far as depth chart and opportunity right now? Very tough to tell. I think Redman & Dwyer have proven to be very good complimentary backs. I'm not sure either has what it takes to be a feature / every-down back. I'm hopeful that Le'Veon Bell comes in and forces the Steelers to make him the starter. I watched a lot of Bell, and I think that is exactly what will happen. Bell isn't the kind of back that is going to take an 80 yard TD-run, but, he is big & athletic. He will be able to break a lot of 10-20 yard runs if the O-Line can open some holes. Stephens-Howling has been brought in as well. I think you will see Bell starting, Redman & Dwyer competing to be the 2nd string back & Stephens Holing to be the sometimes 3rd down back (Bell catches the ball well for a big man, but, needs to improve pass blocking). It should be interesting, but, I think that if Bell remains healthy and Dwyer or Redman are starting, then it is a disappointing pick (at least initially). detlef
Let's see. I want a safety, potential and eventual replacements for Justin Smith and Frank Gore with mad upside, a new TE2, and more picks for next year. If the Niners can get just a few of those, I'd be stoked. I'm not going to get greedy and expect all of that, mind you. But one can hope. bpwallace49
Very happy with the packers getting a starting DE, two very very capable backs in lacy/Franklin, and done solid depth at OL, OLB and WR. TT goes a great job scouring the middle to later rounds, so looking forward to training camp!
Capt. Stanky
Absolutely love the Bengals draft, especially the 2nd round. I must admit that I didn't expect Eifert in the first. It wasn't our biggest need, but we needed another weapon in the passing game, and any of the WR's would have been a reach. Another intermediate target will be great for Dalton. Before the draft I felt a dynamic weapon at RB was what our offense needed to take the next step. Mission accomplished with Gio Bernard. He will also help in the return game. Margus Hunt is a project, but he couldn't have come into a better situation. Zimmer's forte is developing D-lineman (see Geno Atkins, Michael Johnson and Carlos Dunlap). With our depth he will be able to learn without any immidiate preasure. He will contribute immediately on the kick block team (blocked 17 kicks in 4 years). What pleases me more than anything is that we had the kind of draft good teams have. We didn't reach for players of need and just took players according to our draft board (apparently Eifert, Bernard and Hunt were top 21 on their big board). The Bengals have come a long way in the front office over the last few years. I can't believe it, I think I just gave Mike Brown some credit. Not draft related, but we also resigned Andre Smith to a reasonable deal (3 yrs 18 mill). According to our O-line coach it allowed us to knabb Bernard, as our pick would have been Manilek Watson otherwise.
BearBroncos
New Regime..new philosophy. I'm very excited to see what the new Charger brass do tonight. One word will dictate this new regime for the Chargers.... Te'o I see another decade of mediocre play from this new regime just solely based on this one draft pick. Might as well higher Lindsay Lohan as their team drug screener!
