Wolverines Fan
Per rotoworld: The NFL suspended Browns WR Josh Gordon two games for violating the league's substance-abuse policy. He'll also forfeit four game checks. Gordon entered the 2012 Supplemental Draft after what were believed to be multiple Josh Gordon incidents, including an arrest for possession at a Taco Bell during his time at Baylor. He later transferred to the University of Houston, but was not allowed to play. Gordon is one of the better breakout fantasy candidates in the NFL this season, but the two-game ban is a reminder of his off-field history. Ultimately, it could also make him a better value in fantasy drafts. Gordon will be eligible to play in Week 3.

flemingd
A guy missing two games is a lot to see on a fantasy board.

Yeah, not much to see if Drank is part of your everyday party lifestyle. PFT reported that a player has to have had multiple violations to be suspended. Josh Gordon released the strep throat story in hopes that everyone would believe it was a singular mistake that led to his suspension. We haven't heard the excuse for all the other violations that led to the suspension. Absent a violation of the law, a suspension under the substance-abuse policy happens only if a player commits multiple violations. For players like Josh Gordon and Jags receiver Justin Blackmon, that’s a lot of violations to rack up in only one year. Once a player is in the substance-abuse program, he knows he’s going to be tested. To end up getting suspended means that he has continued to test positive even when he knows he’s going to be tested — unless, of course, the subsequent violations come from failing to comply with the testing requirements." The NFL and the Browns cannot say what he tested positive for, so he can just spin away and try to convince the fans and media that it was "an honest mistake". At this point I figure he'll be caught again sometime soon, and be given the one year suspension. He is obviously too stupid to understand he will be tested and will be punished for his actions. So much for the BS he fed the Cleveland fans/media that he is cleaning up his act.
