DMD
Super Tom has been a top 3 or 4 QB for a long time now. But he lost Wes Welker, Aaron Hernandez and Rob Gronkowski is no lock to be healthy by week one or remain so if he does. Consider what is gone: Welker - 118-1354-6 Hernandez - 51-483-5 Lloyd - 74-911-4 Woodhead - 40-446-3 Stallworth 1-63-1 And in jeopardy: Gronk 55-790-11 So 284-3257-19 is gone and with Gronk it would be 339-4044-30 Brady only threw 401-4827-34. Basically, the receivers are in near total turn-over. So can Brady make good with Danny Amendola, Michael Jenkins, Donald Jones, Aaron Dobson, Lavalle Hawkins, Julian Edelman, Jake Ballard and Michael Hoomanawanui? Is he so good that he is above the risk in fantasy drafts?
kcmast
I'm staying away at the ADP he'll be going for.
tazinib1
I think in Dynasty leagues, he's going to be a buy low target this year for someone who is set to make a championship run in 2 years. In re-drafts, the name alone will still make his ADP way too high for my taste but I'll love it when somebody picks him over a few other QB's and I'm a few picks away. Jackass
Let's not forget Amendola's not exactly a bastion of health. If he and Gronk make it through the season, Brady will be ok. you're taking a lot of risk though. It's a tough call right now.
borge007
A lot of "nay-sayers" on Brady are going to be surprised.
Tripleshot
A lot of "nay-sayers" on Brady are going to be surprised. Maybe. It's his chance at showing everyone he's so elite that he can make no-name receivers into studs. But he's not a spring chicken anymore, so that's an awfully big maybe, and one I won't hang my fantasy team's chances on, unless I get him way below ADP. I think the one who is going to "surprise" us will actually be Belichick, who will reinvent his team into a run-first offense and rely a little more on an improved defense. Tripleshot
How is Colin Kaepernick not on this list! Ask Green Bay about him!!! Yeah, he ran all over Green Bay, who couldn't seal an edge to save their life, whether from the defensive scheme they used or the lack of discipline of their ends. Here's the thing with Kaep. He's on a run-first team. He lost his best receiver. Even though they did add Boldin, it's a net loss with Crabtree out. Kaep won't be running wild all season like he did against Green Bay, because he'll get popped like RGIII. Every running QB who has ever come into the league learned awfully quick that running often isn't worth it. Look at Randall Cunningham, Donovan McNabb, Steve Young, and now RGIII(Newton being the exception, they guy is an anvil when anyone tries hitting him). It's a lot easier and safer sticking to the pocket and running only when necessary. I think he'll still be an efficent, winning QB, but stat-wise he's just not in the same category as the rest of the QBs on the poll list. Now, next year when he has Crabtree back and maybe some more development from the receivers and TE they drafted this year and last, that may well change. Hell, I wouldn't discount the idea of Harbaugh running up the score in wins, lol. Edited June 27, 2013 by Tripleshot
WashingtonD
I just can't help but feel we are in for a classic patriots change scheme and bill and tom hang a 45 spot on their opponents weekly.
Bronco Billy
We're about to find out just how great - or not - Brady truly is. Guys like Favre and Elway were able to turn no-name bags of **** into capable and sometimes excelling receivers. Well, now Brady is surrounded with ****. I'm of the impression that he'll post some pretty solid numbers. I'm no Pats fan by any stretch of the imagination, but I'll acknowledge greatness and Brady and that NE system just seem a perfect match for each other - and a turd QB like Cassel was able to put up very good numbers in it. I think Brady is going to be a legit very good ADP value by the time redrafts swing into full gear. Right now you can get him at the top of the 5th round, and I think he'll drop off a little more than that in the next few weeks.

I think it's going to take a scheme change because despite all the greatness of Belichick and Brady, their mortality is showing. Recall that they got drubbed the last time NE took the field, and I don't think that's been seen in a long time. Brady's track record gives me more confidence in him than several QBs on that list, but you have to factor in the effect of all the pending offensive changes somewhere, as well as how hungry Brady will be to remember the pre-Moss/pre-Welker years and go out there and work his ass off with a new crew again. Brady has more variance this year than say Matt Ryan, so I agree a drop in ADP is coming and will make him much more tempting come mid-/late-August. Bronco Billy
269.80 fantasy pts(QB7)...would have ranked as QB14 last year For a talent (or lack thereof) like Cassell, that's an immense acheivement - maybe even epic.

Axe Elf
269.80 fantasy pts(QB7)...would have ranked as QB14 last year Yeah, but teams in general weren't passing as much then. He ranked #6 in fantasy points the year he put up those stats (2008).

If he goes the whole season without missing more than 2 games, it will be a fluke.
