darin3
So we knocked around some redraft deep sleepers last week, but hey what about all of us that are in dynasty leagues? I'm going to scan over my three rookie drafts from the past couple of months and drop a few names on ya... who else are you high on? Let's say guys drafted in round 5 or later. Obviously, all leagues are different but these three leagues have a pretty nice cross-section of owners, starting lineup requirements, etc....so hopefully it's an OK sampling. Jordan Reed (TE - WAS): Chris Cooley called it quits and Fred Davis is on a one-year deal, coming off a 2012 season where he ruptured his Achilles. Reed could be the future TE for the Skins, but how well will RGIII utilize his TE? Kenny Stills (WR - NOS): The young, back end of the Saints' WR corps seems to be filled with small school overachievers. Stills appears to be the most well-rounded and could be the most polished within the next 1-2 years. Mike Glennon (QB - TBB): Josh Freeman has progressed, but it's been a slow progression according to some. Glennon is NFL-ready and would definitely be given the keys if Freeman regresses or gets hurt. Ace Sanders (WR - JAC): Obviously there's plenty to be desired in terms of the Jag passing game, but if Sanders gets himself a solid QB (read: Teddy Bridgewater) in the next couple of years, this cat could make some plays. Tavarres King (WR - DEN): Yes, the Broncos already had Demaryius Thomas and Eric Decker. Yes, they also brought in Wes Welker. But one injury to any of that aforementioned trio and this kid (who's looked great in camp) gets a shot. Charles Johnson (WR - GBP): Gone is Greg Jennings. Jordy Nelson's good but missed some time last season. Johnson has prototypical size and, hailing from a small school, screams Marques Colston to me for some reason. Pope Flick
I'm going with Tyler Bray - if A Smith doesn't work out in KC, here he is. Marques Goodwin, Buffalo - my Bears homerism shows with the "Willie Gault of 2013." He had the fastest combine run I believe and the Bills need WRs. I think he has some upside there in KC. Especially with how Reid's developed young QBs. And gotta love Goodwin's speed... I hope he's not just another track guy. After watching plenty of him live and in person while in Austin, I'm on the fence.
flemingd
Don't play in a dynasty, so forgive me if I'm naming guys that aren't deep enough, but guys that are not on redraft radars: Markus Wheaton - WR PIT. Loving him as a replacement for Wallace long-term. Big Ben should stick around long enough to make sure he gets plenty of work. If not: Landry Jones - QB PIT. I think this was the best QB in this draft and hate that he went somewhere he's probably going to rot for a few years. However Big Ben isn't exactly young, mobile, or fully healthy. This is the kind Andre Ellington - RB ARI. Lots of opportunity in ARI, and I think he makes the most of it. Chris Harper - WR SEA. He was on my watch list and I thought Seattle drafting him meant getting buried on the practice squad. I watched this guy play a couple of games and he looked unstoppable. He'll be on the bottom of the depth chart on day 1, but he might be on top of it after all the injuries play out and he gets reps in preseason. Love his long term. Philip Lutzenkirchen - TE STL. Cook didn't exactly overachieve in TEN, and that was before he got paid. Kendricks tilted out, and if Lutzenkirchen can stay healthy there will be opportunities here. Wheaton - not all that deep given PIT's propensity to dig guys like this out of college and turn them into studs. Jones - not a fan. This guy has Blaine Gabbert written all over him. Ellington - could be the best overall back on ARI's roster. Harper - good call, seen this name on many a rookie sleeper list, both dynasty and even redraft if the current SEA WR corps sticks to their injury-prone ways lskafuiaopsdfu - never even heard of the guy, but will have to take a peek now. Crazysight
Ryan Mallett all day. Pats will have to trade him next offseason or lose him to free agency after 2014.
