darin3
Here you go. Per rotoworld: Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell has been diagnosed with a mid-foot sprain, and could be sidelined "a while." It appears Bell has avoided a Lisfranc injury, but as top Steelers beat writer Ed Bouchette points out, any mid-foot sprain is a big issue for a running back. It's safe to rule Bell out for the rest of the preseason, and consider him questionable for Week 1. Bell has 19 days to get healthy. The Steelers would likely go with a committee of Isaac Redman, Jonathan Dwyer and La'Rod Stephens-Howling in the opener if their prized rookie runner isn't ready. The Steelers seem to have a remarkably difficult time keeping linemen and runners healthy. Source: Ed Bouchette on Twitter It appears that Ed may have been wrong. Ian Rapoport@RapSheet1m The #Steelers believe rookie Le'Veon Bell has a lis franc injury, which could keep him out for some time. Team is pretty frustrated. darin3
Maybe the Steelers need to try and re-sign LisFranco Harris.
Brendan
Dwyer the best back to take at this point assuming Bell misses some time?
Joebirds55
Dwyer looked a lot thinner vs Washington and I'd maybe consider taking a flyer on him
Chief Dick
Maybe the Steelers need to try and re-sign LisFranco Harris. They may as well. Can't hurt to take a Rocky Fleier on the guy.

kidsgotsoul
If you do decide to touch this backfield at all, I think Dywer is the guy based on nothing but my initial gut reaction.
Joebirds55
^agreed. Like I said he just "looked" like he'd be the guy. I most likely will avoid the situation after last year, but if Dwyer is there late I'd maybe take a chance
flemingd
They may as well. Can't hurt to take a Rocky Fleier on the guy. Then bring in Merryl Hodgepodge just to make it official.

Gourdeau
Dwyer has lost about 25 lbs, he should be the guy until Bell comes back. He looked much better in the Skins game than any game from last year

chiroacademy
Felix Jones traded to Pitt. How does he fit in the RBBC? Or a starter? Edited August 23, 2013 by chiroacademy
loaf
He's not starter material, he proved that in Dallas. He further muddies an already muddy mess.
Tripleshot
He's not starter material, he proved that in Dallas. He further muddies an already muddy mess. Yup. Makes you wonder if they traded for him for depth or because they aren't sold on Dwyer.
Bronco Billy
Felix Jones traded to Pitt. How does he fit in the RBBC? Or a starter? Makes me think Tomlin is lying his ass off when he says Bell's injury isn't Lis franc and he is week to week.
BA Baracus
Why the hell do these coaches feel the need to lie about injuries. I had always thought that Tomlin was a stand up guy. I guess I was wrong.
Axe Elf
It's already been said that it is a Lisfranc injury. It's just mild enough that it doesn't require surgery.
