Tastes Like More
I think the cat is out of the bag with this guy. 8-116-0. Curious to see where his ADP will be after last night's game.
tazinib1
cat was out of the bag a month ago with me. I picked him up in 4 leagues for $1 and another for $3. Who's the smart guy in this thread???
Tastes Like More
I know he has been performing for weeks now, I just haven't drafted in my leagues yet. Edited August 23, 2013 by Tastes Like More
Bronco Billy
Added him in FA in all 3 of my dynasty leagues. This guy is looking more and more like the exception to the rule and the silk purse out of a sow's ear. Glad I did it before he went off last night.
Axe Elf
Of course, the cat might retreat back into the bag once the season starts and Amendola plays.
Bronco Billy
Of course, the cat might retreat back into the bag once the season starts and Amendola plays. Â Â Yeah, I wouldn't expect Brady to throw much this year either.
buddahj
I also grabbed him in a few dynasty leagues and IBL.
Tripleshot
Whenever I see big preseason stat lines like his of last night, it always make me ask: who threw him most of those passes? How many targets were from Brady, and how many from backups? I don't deny his obvious upside, but even Tarvaris Jackson can lock in on one guy during his half of the game... Bronco Billy
I think 100 yds on 5 catches came from Brady as Thompkins started out of the X WR position. Â I'll try to verify Edited August 23, 2013 by Bronco Billy
Tripleshot
Nice. I wasn't able to catch any of the game. I only saw a little of the Panther-Ravens. Â Also in his favor, he was undrafted correct? So he avoids the "any WR drafted by NE fails" curse. Bronco Billy
Make that 6 for 93. Brady also went back to Thompkins after a bad drop. Â Good showing by the kid and pretty obvious Brady trusts him.

Wpob
Grabbed him in one league and looking to get him my Dynasty Draft on Saturday. I m ay have to take him earlier than i wanted too, but it is mostly a rookie and back up draft so we will see.
Anthrax1
I was really hoping to grab one more decent receiver and it looks like he fit the bill. With Amandolas injury history, he may pan out. It doesn't cost anything to keep him on the bench and if he pans out I look smart, if not, I drop him for a backup def/QB.
MTSuper7
It's a game of roulette figuring out who's going to have consistent value amongst Pats pass catchers. Amendola seems safe. Maybe Vereen. But Thompkins? Sudfeld? Dobson? Â I do like Thompkins as a WR4/5 but feel like someone else will eat up the hype and grab him early (6th roundish maybe). bostonsoxandy
Dude should live up to 5th/6th round value by the end of the year .I'd target him in the 8th on

Rookie WRs are generally volatile. I doubt he'll be a top 20 WR by the end of the year, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was top 20 through the first 3-4 weeks. Â Â Very possible this happens, but I see some real talent in Kenbrell. Sort of reminds me of Troy Brown in a couple ways. I think Brady has a real chemistry with him and he will persist, but as you said, he is a rookie wr so there is tons of fantasy risk. Bronco Billy
Brady has been in the market for a long term outside WR for quite a while. There's little question he's developed some substantial chemistry and trust with Thompkins. He may start fast and then fade, but there's just as good a chance he becomes Brady's go-to outside guy. Not sure how anyone can reasonably predict how it shakes out right now. Â I see a great risk/reward play here in a guy who can be drafted in the 9th to 11th round as your WR4/5. He doesn't pan out and you don't lose much, but if he morphs into a guy who Brady targets 5+ times a game could be a guy who is integral to a FF championship. It's not like it is unprecedented to see an UDFA WR turn into a very solid FF WR when given an opportunity in a prolific O. Geo33
Would you guys say it's safe to drop Dobson now? I have Thompkins and dropped Dobson for Joique Bell which I'm almost regretting.
tazinib1
New England has a pretty good record with UDFA WR's  Rod Smith and Wes Welker
