Scorcher
Looks like one of my leagues is going to be 8 teams. First time I have ever been in one. Just did a mock for 8 teams.Teams are stacked as is, but if 1 or 2 of the drafters isn't real savvy it is criminal!
Axe Elf
Yep... I have an 8-man auction team on which I have Adrian Peterson, Jamaal Charles, Dez Bryant, and Demaryius Thomas.
flemingd
It seems that way, up until you have to start making decisions. Everyone thinks 8 man leagues are so easy because everyone is loaded, but that's exactly why they are more competitive. Mistakes are crushing, and what most don't realize about 8 man leagues is that every decision counts. It's pretty easy to plug Victor Cruz in every week as a starter in a 12 man league, but when you have Cruz, Wayne, and Decker vs. Oakland, that's a much bigger decision. You have a ton more ownership over your own fate. Nomany people would start Denarius Moore over Cruz, so when Moore outscores Cruz and Moore is on your bench, you just shrug and say "oh well". However, when you agonize over the Cruz/Decker/Wayne decision for days, and then it turns out you picked the wrong guy, you really feel like you gave one away. And with that team in an 8 team league you might not even make the playoffs. lol
MikesVikes
You have to have a solid starting line up. It is easy to mess up your team with abad choice. It is also easy to get beaten by the worst team in the league in the playoffs even if you have the best team. That happens more often than not in a local I'm in. Scorcher
I will have to say that in the 8 team mock, no one was on auto and they picked really fast. Some choices in my opinion were really bad, but as far as mocks go the most serious group I have encountered.

You can easily find yourself dead last by starting a stud against a strong defense when you have a #2 playing the weakest pass defense in the league and getting beat by 5 points because of it. I almost would rather play in a 12 team league so I don't have as much agonizing decisions to make. Seriously you are gonna have one of your most challenging years my friend. A player you normally would never even consider sitting will be on your bench and let me tell you, pressing that submit button making it so will be tough. Oh and don't dare get caught in one of those $rse ripping cycles where you burn yourself the week before by playing one guy then you swear not to bench him and that is the right thing to do this week so you start him and he burns you again, then you go back to benching him the next week and he goes off. Meanwhile the guy that you mentioned sucks, seems to make all the right moves week in and week out. Good luck Edited August 29, 2013 by Cowboyz1
BA Baracus
One of the great things about fantasy football is how league size and starting lineup requirements can completely alter what strategies will be most successful.
