Some of you may already know about this, but it was news to me.

You can actually buy insurance to protect your investment in your team against injury. I didn't read a lot of the details, but here you go.

I guess if you're heavily invested......

If you're heavily invested enough to need this, you're probably already fixing games to meet your nefarious fantasy football purposes.

"Westbrook, take a knee..."

Wait, I take this back, this could get interesting. From their FAQ:

Coverage of up to $1,000 is available for purchase online. The FantasyPlayerProtect policy covers the value of your team made up of the following costs:

League entry fees

Ancillary expenses up to $250 for items such as the costs of magazine or online subscriptions you may incur for the purpose of maximizing the value of your fantasy team

I decided to do further analysis. I could insure Vick Ballard for week 16 in a $100 league for $9. Hmmm.....think I'll pass. I punched in Calvin Johnson and he'd run you $12 for the same league.

I punched in $1000 and Arian Foster for week 16, and it came back with an $162 quote...

So I guess you could do some "reverse prop betting" and actually make out on this deal! If you really think Foster won't make it to week 16, you could place a $162 bet and win $1000 ...

hmmm....any huddlers wanna take up a pool? I mean, I'm not, but some of you might be interested.

This whole business sounds like some guys got baked and said, "Heyyyy...what if you sold FANTASY FOOTBALL INSURANCE! I'm gonna ask my dad to float me a loan and start this up!"

I admire a good scam. It's my life dream as well to come up with a quick hit and retire young.
