stokers
I don't ever draft a kicker so I can get another player to watch before making a change. I have to drop either Roman Harper, Rehad Jones or Johnatan Cyprien by Wed. Could use some advice. Thanks
darin3
Meh, DBs end up being so similar in the end.... That said, I'd have trouble dropping Roman Harper, even with Kenny Vaccaro hanging around (even with him there, Vaccaro may be slotted at FS anyways). Pretty much a tossup between Jones and Cyprien. Cyprien is on a crappy team that'll have its defense on the field a ton. Jones put up solid numbers last year and there's no reason to think he won't again. Jones is easily the safer bet, Cyprien's the wild card with wild upside. I'd keep Harper/Jones and toss Cyprien back. While he has a high ceiling, he also has the lowest floor. PPIchamp
I'd drop Harper. He's part of a rotation at Safety between himself, Vaccaro and Jenkins, at least to start the year. He won't be out there for every down, Cyprien and Jones will. I like Cyprien, and I love Reshad this year. stokers
one to drop Cyprien and one to drop Harper. Anyone else then?
keggerz
With Vaccaro in tow Harper is to much of a wildcard...so I'd drop Harper.
PPIchamp
Look at Reshad's upcoming schedule, after a mediocre matchup week 1, he gets @Ind, Atl, @NO - solid!
stokers
I'm sold on Jones, it's just real hard to drop Harper, but other sources are saying to drop Harp as well I'm doing today so if anyone else wants to chime in I would appreciate. PPIchamp
Harper has a bad schedule after week one. TB, Az, Mia, and Chi were all in the bottom 10 last year in fantasy points allowed to Safety's (though AZ's likely to be better for opposing S's this year). There's possibly DB's as good as Harper if not better in your FA pool, depending on your league and roster sizes. DB's are very interchangeable, you only want to really hold onto the Top Teir guys. I like to have a solid SS anchor, then play the matchups with the other spot, again, depending on league/roster size. There's no getting around the fact that Harper's not gonna be an every down Safety. They have this hot stuff rookie Vacarro who they want to get on the field. Harper's on the downside of his career. stokers
Just one final shout out for this decision. Going with Jones for sure. It's hard to get rid of Harp, but with Vaccaro there I hear what others are saying other than Darin. Anyone else in favor of keeping Harper over Cyprien or should I just drop the old guy? Thanks all for the help.
