Cowboyz1
Against my better judgement, I have un-ignored you for this week 1 challenge. Here is your chance to show how awesome your drafting skills are. So here's the challenge You and I will draft teams for week 1. Standard PPR scoring 4pts PTD 6pts RTD 1PPR etc Starting lineups 1qb 2rb 3wr 1te 1def and 1 lousy kicker You pick your entire team and once you have your lineup set, I will pick mine from the rest of the free agents. Here's your shot to be somebody so make it count. The stakes: Loser must pay homage to the other for victory in a post here in this thread. Lineup must be in by Thursday kickoff and no dialog just pick......... Edited September 4, 2013 by Cowboyz1

frenzal rhomb
Why not just do a head-to-head on FanDuel or something? Why not just step up and answer the bell? - Jamaal Charles and proceed from there
Axe Elf
Why not just step up and answer the bell? Maybe because in the land of grown-ups, we don't necessarily take every dare or accept every challenge--even if they double DOG dare you. Those who are juvenile enough to do that--or who expect anyone else to do so--probly feel like they have something to prove, and I don't. I am Baby Jane. If I went around accepting every challenge from every upstart who wants to take their shot at greatness, I wouldn't have time to conduct my classes for the rest of you--or indeed, to have any life at all. Now, I do play on FanDuel to increase my profit from the season, so if anyone would like to donate some extra dollars to my Christmas Fund, I'll be happy to write them a receipt for tax purposes. But just to pick a one-week team for no reason other than bragging rights on a message board--I think I'll pass. Actually your behavior on here is from adult like - despite your advanced degree and advanced age. You post 90 plus times a day giving out advice and ridiculing everyone who has a different opinion than you. Step up, be a man and make your picks. You have the distinct advantage here. The problem is if you accept the challenge and fail, you wont be able to post from your parents attic and blow your horn. You will have to walk away with your tail between your legs. This is a challenge you must take if you want to have any ounce of credibility amongst the 3 % of huddlers who still dont have you on ignore. You are certainly frightened in this case and I can smell it from a mile away, even with my BA in counseling psych and secondary ed teaching degree. You should be able to light this up with your superior knowledge. You should even spot Cowboyz 15 points

Cowboyz1
Don't you run from me Boy! As I said, no dialog just pick or you'll forever be known as the keebler who's all boast and no balls. We all know your nuts haven't fallen yet but I certainly thought at least you had a pair. Or is that Avy of yours just you bending over with your hair down giving out issue....... Edited September 4, 2013 by Cowboyz1

rattsass
I am fascinated by this whole Baby Jane drama here at the Huddle. I really don't have all the background, so let me just ask - has this Elf fellow given links to any of his glorious victories over competition other than free Yahoo leagues? Everybody seems to be getting pretty worked up over him, but as a casual observer the whole thing looks like a whole lotta nothin to me. Either he is right and he is the next coming of David Dorey, or he joins the wasteland of others who have built themselves a throne and pump their chests on these message boards, only to flame out. But hey, he got you to start threads about him. So he must be quite a nerve specialist.

It's more like when you go to the zoo and you walk by that animal you've never seen before jumping around making all kinds of noise. About that time you pick up a stick and run it back and forth against the bars. Once you realize it ain't gonna do $hit but stare at you, flop around a bit and make funny noises, you shrug your shoulders, drop the stick and move on. Even when you get home and they ask "how was the zoo" you don't even bother to mention the odd thing............ That's about where I am. Bout ready to shug and drop the stick. Cowboyz1
It would be one thing to take the high road and not engage in a one off combat if you had to fend off multiple challenges but I don't see people lined up putting forth any challenges. In fact, I believe this is the first and only one that has been put out that ole Axe hasn't been in control of or started. So to say you won't play for fear you would have to defend against "every challenge from every upstart" is more than stretch don't you think? electricrelish and brentastic Fact is there is only one conclusion one can make here if you sit there sheep eyed wondering what to do now that your hand's been called. Axe Elf
Like you said, the board already had a chance to challenge me in the Baby Jane Huddle Handicap League (and others are playing against me in the InterBoard League as well). In the last 24 hours, I've had a half dozen people parading up and down the forums flapping their arms and clucking like a chicken, trying to browbeat me into entering the "20 Questions" contest. And now you want a one-on-one contest to feed your own ego (which, parenthetically, I have essentially accepted by agreeing to match you in a head-to-head contest on FanDuel--but for cash instead of bragging rights). Probly the only reason these challenges are NOT lined up around the block is because I choose not to be manipulated into accepting them, for the most part. Still, if you wanna chest up, bring your cash over to FanDuel and look me up. Tell 'em Baby Jane sent ya, and you'll pay for my entry fee with the referral bonus. lol

tony2345
Axe, I think for the sake of your so-called reputation, you need to steup atleast once for us huddle forum members. You post close to 100 times per day constantly ridiculing and attempting to make everyone feel as if you are betetr than them. Man up, just this once. While you're at, chane your profile pic, you look like a complete tool.

Cowboyz1
To borrow a phrase from one of my favorite flicks, "what we have here is a classic case of Show and Tell", your telling me everything but showing us nothing". You see, you have no rep here whatsoever, other than being a windbag. You haven't won anything here, you haven't played in anything here. All you've done is run your mouth and hide out in the Advice Forum which is really where you belong. I really should just let you stay there because we need a workhorse in there to answer all the newbies questions as many of us have had our fill of trying to feed the beast. That said, everyone here for years have played every game the huddle has to offer. Many of them classics that most of us won't miss and look forward to playing every year. So to say you're being pressured to join or "produce" is nothing more than an invitation to compete in something that the board has done since inception. The fact that you're not, shows us what we already know. You're the guy that was the best somewhere else. You're the guy that was big in a town nobody heard of. You're the guy that has the mansion overseas but rents here at home. You're the guy who's girlfriend is hot but lives out of town. We get it.......... It's ok sit this one out and watch yourself disappear in a flurry of ignore clicks........
