Broncos v Ravens - Torrey Smith

There are a number of intriguing fantasy story lines that will be played out in Denver tonight. Aside from the Devner RB circus I am personally looking forward to how Torrey Smith comes out this season. Based on his ADP I have a gut feeling that year 3 could bring out big numbers for Torrey (high W2) at a bargin rate. I for one am starting him with confidence over Sproles and Colsten in the flex position.

Anyone else rolling the dice tonight?

Colston, I somewhat get but Sproles should outscore Torrey. Hell, Colston might too.

That they might, but if there was ever a game to spot start Torrey I think tonight is the night. Especially with Champ out and the Denver D banged up.

Never been a big Sproles fan; I view his ceiling at (15pts) a game (assuming standard scoring & .5PPR). Torrey ripped Denver last year and with Vegas tapping the over/under at 48 me thinks Torrey's ceiling sits at 6 catches, 115 yards, 1 TD (20pts) in a shootout

I'm far more intrigued about how the Denver O distributes the ball than anything else. I've maintained from the beginning that Thomas and Decker will remain solid 1/2 and Welker will poach whatever he can from the TE/RB targets plus take over Stokeley's targets.

The Denver O distribution is a huge story line. Like myself, I assume your not a believer in the Denver Triple 1,000 WR club? What end of season stat line do you think Welker will produce?

I don't have Smith at all, either... Probably because most of my leagues are PPR, and I see him as more of a big play type of WR. He simply was taken before I would have taken him, in every league. The one league where I would have liked to have drafted him is the best ball format... He seems like a perfect fit there. But, it didn't work out... I was drafting at the 1.12/2.01 turn, and would have had to have reached too far to get him, as it turns out.

Who knows... Maybe he'll turn into more of a #1 option this year, in terms of targets, considering the limited options Flacco seems to have, going into this season (with Boldin and Pitta gone/out). It will be yet another interesting layer to watching this season unfold.

I too have Sproles, Torrey, and Shorts available for flex...I am torn...currently have Sproles, but agree Torrey could be in for a HUGH night...

Torrey will be nothing but a WR3 at best....DRC looked like Revis out there.

so a guy that is on pace for 64 catches and 1472 yards after facing a guy that you said played like the best corner in the game is gonna be a WR3 at best, mmmmkay

I can live with 11 points (.5PPR) It was shocking how much of a ghost he was in the second half, especially being down by so much. Credit to DRC. 4th on the team in targets with Dickson dropping 1/2 of has passes and Clark looking like a plodding old man was hard to watch

Luckily I moved him into the 2nd WR spot. I have the flex open for Sproles, Colsten, or Antonio Brown....cant wait to make that decision
