Late in the game, and ill attempt to put frustration aside that I'm facing Peyton this week, the broncos continued to just throw throw throw. I'm screaming at the tv "does this team freaking ever run the ball?!?!"...this morning made me think of this: how much outrage would there be if it was Tom Brady and the pats laying that beat down last night and still throwing w under 5 minutes left?

I get it, the game was within 3 possessions but clearly the ravens defense was absolutely sucking wind by the end of the 3rd quarter. I absolutely hate the patriots, and at times agreed w the criticism of them "running up the score". But I can't help but think if that had been Brady and belichick throwing so late they'd get blasted.

This is professional football. Running up the score is for HS and College. If your defense can't stop their offense, then their is no reason to hope they will stop scoring to be "nice".

Cause people love Peyton. Especially when hes raping the same team he lost to last year. Especially when he could of possibly broke the TD record. When the Pats run up the score, they run the ball alot and get TDs. Its one thing to almost break a record..its another to do it against bad teams for chivess and hahas.

Well I mean even last year when gronk got hurt everyone said basically "ha ha that's what they get for keeping him out there" etc etc as if it was justice for those times they leave studs in and run the score up. What would we be saying if instead of Thomas catching that last td someone barrels into manning and he tears an ACL...probably not the same thing if it were the patriots

You are correct. People just always look for ways to complain about Brady but people have to remember this is the NFL there is in my opinion no such thing as Running Up the Score.

Not sure what this means. Are you complaining that the Patriots run up the score by running the ball? Do you want them to throw it instead?

I'm saying when you throw throw throw with Denvers offense you score quick. Meaning you wont dominate time of possession. With NEs offense and lack of receivers they can still score but not as quick. So they will kill you on the ground. They will rape you and time of possession till the clock hits 0 as if saying matter thr receivers we will penetrate you until we cant no more.

The fact that 'running up the score' is ever mentioned in any sport is a complete joke. And even moreso in a professional league.

In soccer you are allowed to run up the score. Probably the only thing about soccer that doesn't suck donkey balls (well except for playing it. It is quite funny to play)

Like I said I'm not saying I agree/disagree. I think it's stupid at times for teams to leave their best players in the line of fire when the outcome is already decided, which last night Denver did. Just like the pats in the past w Brady. Not focused on "running up the score" so much as the rap either side gets if roles are reversed

I think the fact that the Ravens pulled that playoff game from the jaws of death last year gave the Broncos the license to pummel them senseless to where there was no way they were going to come back. It's called winning football.

that and an earlier handoff, handoff, handoff, three and out helped to ensure they'd throw the ball to keep it away from the Ravens
