Easy n Dirty
Going to blind bidding for first time this year and am trying to figure out how MFL will process claims. I saw this example on MFL Help Center, which I found to be more confusing than helpful: Team A, group 1 - claim player 1 for $70, claim player 2 for $105. Team B, group 1 - claim player 1 for $85, claim player 2 for $90. Team C, group 1 - claim palyer 2 for $95, claim player 1 for $60. Result - Team B would gte player 1 for $85 and Team C would get Player 2 for $95, as Team A had player 2 hidden by the higher priority and therefore would already be won by Team C. This struck me as the wrong result - given that all claims were group 1 claims per the Help Cneter example, shouldn't Team A end up with player 2? Any help on how MFL is going to process these wiver claims would be much appreciated. We chose to use conditional bidding...although I am open to changing that if need be. LosGatosEnFuegos
I'm copy/pasting from my local's message board last year where I wrote a very clear explanation for someone. Round 1 - Enter a move you want to make at the top. Then, underneath add any moves you want to make IN THE EVENT THAT THE FIRST MOVE CANNOT BE MADE. Add them in priority order within this round. Round 2 - Enter a move you want to make REGARDLESS OF MOVES MADE IN PREVIOUS ROUNDS. The confusion is that "Rounds" implies an order, but THERE IS NO PRIORITY BETWEEN ROUNDS. Imagine you want to add Hartline for $14 and drop Rice, but if someone outbids you on Hartline, you want to add Bess for $9 and drop Rice. Additionally, you want to add Zuerlein for $2 and drop Tebow. This is what your waiver submission would look like : Round 1 Add Hartline - $14 - Drop Rice Add Bess - $9 - Drop Rice Round 2 Add Zuerlein - $2 - Drop Tebow N.B. This would be processed exactly the same if you submitted Zuerlein in Round 1 and the WR move in Round 2. There is no priority between Rounds. If I submitted 5 rounds of waivers, and my 5th round was to add Hartline for $25, I would get him. It doesn't matter that I put it in a higher numbered "round", it just matters that I bid the most. Does this make sense? Below is a link to the help section on conditional waivers, but I'd bet $14 that my explanation is easier to understand. http://football23.myfantasyleague.com/2012/support?L=30918&SEARCH=conditional+waivers
flemingd
It processes by group, not player. So your first bid goes against everyone else's first bid. Team A bids $70 on Joe Team B bids $85 on Joe Team C bids $95 on Bobby Result: Team B wins Joe, Team C wins Bobby Team A bids $105 on Bobby Team B bids $90 on Bobby Team C bids $60 on Joe Result: both players are already on rosters, no player awarded
