Finley Injury - Status, Thoughts

Trying to put together this Finley injury.

Yesterday he was with the team at practice, walking around, but not able to practice.

Today, he's in Minnesota getting treatment on his foot from a specialist.

This doesn't sound very good and my only other TE is Heath Miller, whom I was keeping for a hopeful week 4 return.

Thoughts on this Finley injury? anyone have video?

he was in pads for at least part of practice. The fact that he finished the game, and he was able to practice some today, has me guessing he'll play on Sunday. Of course, that opinion is based on zero medical knowledge and possible wishful thinking because he's on my team.

Per rotoworld:

Jermichael Finley (toe) was spotted working out in full pads at the beginning of Thursday's practice.

It's an unexpected and welcome development for the Packers. Finley originally said the toe injury that required him to see a specialist in Minnesota could only heal with rest. So his participation in Thursday's workout -- even though he'll be limited -- is really encouraging. We'll know more when the media meets with coach Mike McCarthy later in the afternoon.

Confucius say: injure all 10 toes if it means you get to leave Wisconsin for Minnesota :)

Maybe I'm wrong here, but I'm not too overly concerned. It's not like he flew thousands of miles to visit Dr. James Andrews or to Miami to some "clinic".

He likely took a quick puddle jump in a private jet to the Twin Cities. This here's a medical marvel hub (read: Mayo Clinic, etc.) and I'm sure there was just some doctor here that advises the team from time to time.

Heck, there's a tattoo artist just 20 minutes east of here (in Wisconsin, actually) who tats up all the Vikes and Packers players. Green Bay isn't that far in the grand scheme of things.

Just my :2cents:
