Easy n Dirty
For those who play in a league with blind bidding waivers - do you allow a team to include blind bidding dollars as part of a trade package?
Scooby
no--everyone has an equal budget. If an owner decides to blow his/hers early on, then tough titty
BA Baracus
In one of my leagues we can trade bidding money. I like it as it makes for a 100% liquid economy.
nelsosi
no--everyone has an equal budget. If an owner decides to blow his/hers early on, then tough titty FAAB (or whatever your league calls it) is an asset just like draft picks and players are. No reason you shouldn't be able to trade it. flemingd
I'm only in one league with FAAB. We don't trade dollars, but would love to. We are also a keeper league auction draft so I think it should extend to auction dollars as well.
keggerz
Yes we can
ChampSampson
yes, we allow. however, you cannot exceed the cap limits. We set the initial cap at T1000. luxury tax is half the buy-in and can boost the cap back up to T975 but no more than. Trades are allowed, but again, you can exceed T975 in cap. ahavrilla
i'm the commish for a league w/ faab and i don't allow trading of cap dollars mainly for simplicity's sake. However, if i was going to allow this to be traded i'd never let a team go over the max they started with in the season b/c it wouldn't be fair to the players who didn't make a trade

Don't see the reasoning behind the fairness to other owners angle. Who all, presumably, had equal chance to trade in a similar fashion. We allow blind bidding dollars to be traded but our BB$ is our cap space, which is a permanent trade of said cap $$$. I could see a loan system developing if it wasn't a permanent trade. In a set amount BB system I think it would be fine and even a necessary thing to be able to do.
ahavrilla
sure they all had equal chance, but do you really want to be the guy who has to track the loan system or luxury tax?
MustOfBeenDrunk
Yes we can Is keeping track a problem ? Does MFL keep track for you ?

Not the luxury tax, we don't have that but I do track the rest. In our case cap dollar trades are infrequent at best but it is another commodity owners can trade and sometimes is helpful to getting a deal done. The only way it isn't fair is if it's two owners colluding to stack one team.
darin3
In a dynasty league, sure. In a redraft, I don't know, I guess.
keggerz
Is keeping track a problem ? Does MFL keep track for you ? Not a problem. Yes, MFL tracks it...there's even a spot to include bid cash in a trade. Edited September 16, 2013 by keggerz
Easy n Dirty
Not a problem. Yes, MFL tracks it...there's even a spot to include bid cash in a trade. Where does MFL track the blind bidding dollars? As commissioner, I can see how much each team has spent through the Setup menus, not sure how it would be reflected if an owner acquired additional dollars via trade (it shows dollars spent, not dollars remaining). Also not sure how a non-commissioner owner could access this information.
