kingsofromance
Maybe its just the breakfast I ate but the more stories that come out about Gronk not starting the more I think he will this weekend. I mean there is a new story every hour that the Patriots are leaning on not starting him but none saying he is definitely out. Also it is all speculation at this point. I mean the guy has been practicing for two weeks. If they were "resting him" would he be practicing in pads? Contact drills? No. Not at all but he is with no reported setbacks. They are getting him ready IMO. I still feel good about a week 3 start as well as a big game.

Joebirds55
I can agree somewhat with your thinking, and I hope you're right, but idk...the team clearly looks like it needs gronk, would anyone bet their life on them beating Tampa this week with how how they've played week 1 and week 2 (okay it is Tampa maybe I would...)? Does seen interesting tho that he has been practicing and they're holding him out for more reps? Foster needed what, 2 weeks?

Team Archer
You should feel funny about Gronk. Every week for the rest of his life

DanTheMan_5
And this is why I don't draft Patriot players anymore.
nelsosi
Even if he starts, wouldn't surprise me if he was just a decoy. No chance he'd be in my active lineup this week unless I had absolutely no other option at TE.

No chance he'd be in my active lineup this week unless I had absolutely no other option at TE. I thought about that too but why would they risk him at all if he wasn't a major part of their offensive strategy. You still take hit as a TE with or without the ball. If he's active I'm starting him.
nelsosi
We're talking about Bill Belichick here. If anyone likes to play games with opponents it's him.
darin3
We're talking about Bill Belichick here. If anyone likes to play games with opponents it's him. As much as I just want to laugh at this and pass it off as BS... something tells me Belichick might want to stick it to Schiano. They have no history but there've been comparisons made in the media. Think of it as one jerk trying to outjerk another jerk. But then my brain takes over and reminds me the Pats should be able to beat TB without Gronk. Jackass
Great line from the projections write-up: Gronkowski can't be a decoy because there's noone he can decoy for. Edited September 18, 2013 by Jackass
kingsofromance
Reports from the Patriots today are not saying anything (that I know of) about him not playing. In fact all that's being leaked is news about how dramatically better he is this week than last week. I guess we'll see.
