Kansas State 2000

I find it interesting the gap between #9 and #10. It's like they are saying only one of the top nine teams have a shot this year. They may be right but I think that is the largest gap I have ever seen in a poll.

1. Southern California 1,500

2. Oklahoma 1,426

3. LSU 1,387

4. Georgia 1,328

5. Miami (FL) 1,246

6. Florida State 1,177

7. Michigan 1,128

8. Texas 1,087

9. Ohio State 1,030

10. Florida 691

11. West Virginia 684

12. Iowa 642

13. Kansas State 639

14. Tennessee 598

15. California 566

16. Clemson 503

17. Missouri 502

18. Auburn 473

19. Virginia 453

20. Maryland 443

21. Utah 438

22. Wisconsin 248

t23. Minnesota 187

t23. Purdue 187

25. Oregon 175

thanks for the post KS, Noles will take care of that #5/#6 issue out of the gate. Big advantage to FSU I think, normally offenses are not at thier best week 1 and FSU's D should have an big advantage.

Just don't let it get to a FG attempt :D

Pre-season polls suck, and I'm a Trojan! I think its bad luck, actually, and would much rather us have good ole lockerroom fodder by being put at #2 or 3 - this way the guys might get fat and happy. ***!

Polls should be banned until week 4 or 5 of the season...

I totally agree. Please see: 2003 Oklahoma Sooners. #1 everywhere you looked before the season started. I am hoping NOT to see any of our beloved Sooners on any magazines nor #1 in any polls before the season starts.

WHat I find intereseting is that the National Champion is ranked #3 behind the team they beat for the Championship and the team who says they won the championship, but doesn't have the trophy to show for it. To me, that's just flat out disrespectful & I can't stand LSU.

It didn't seem to bother the Noles in 99 when we went wire to wire. :D Kidding. I agree preseason polls are a joke. IMO, the first poll shouldn't come out till the third week of the season.

Although, I am glad to see fellow Big 12er KState finally getting some respect. Of course, rootin' for the Sooners but, I am stoked to see what Sproles has in store for this year. Man, that kid is good!

Let's try this Karma / jinx thing out... I think Texas should be ranked #1 or #2 :D .

Yeah, Yeah , Yeah the top 25 is great an all, but what about those of us who pull for a bottom 25 school, where's our poll. :D

Go Heels!

There is more disagreement there. More politicking and such. I am hopping for the top(bottom spot for my team this year.

Let's go Wildcats. Before long there will be a full rating of every team that is usually pretty acurate.

SI does a issue about college football and they are most of the time pretty good with placing even bottom teams.
