Team Archer
Now AJ is a GTD this week. Even if he plays, I fear hes going to be the second coming if Roddy White in terms of performance and being a decoy. What does that mean for Hopkins? I want to play him but with AJ limping I fear Hopkins will be shutdown. Thoughts?
Shorttynaz
He's probably gonna have Sherman on him all game as I don't think AJ is gonna be that effective even if he does play. I think he'll still get some looks though - I don't think 5-50 is too aggressive, but I would certainly keep my expectations limited.. Seahawks21
Seattle doesn't typically allow Sherman to follow particular receivers. Boldin was the first time, and my guess is that is because Browner was out that week. I highly doubt they change their normal defense to account for Deandre Hopkins. As he typically is a Y, he'll spend most of the day getting thrown to the ground by Brandon Browner. Consider this his official introduction to the NFL. Good luck.

rattsass
I think the 5/50 projection is probably about right. I have started him every week up to this point, but benching him for this one. Which probably means he goes 10/150/2.
Avernus
I have not even considered him this week...I even have a Fitz coming off the hammy up against Revis over him this week.....that is how abysmal I see his performance being...just as much because of Schaub as it is the Seattle corners this week... archiebonker
I'm going to play him. I can see him having a huge game this week , even with all Seattle being the other team.
pegos
I'd be much more hesitant starting him if this game was in Seattle, but it's not
Seahawks21
He's just not the type of receiver that usually does well against Seattle. A smaller, quicker receiver is the type Seattle struggles with. If he is going to line up across from Browner and try to be physical, it is a battle that will end very badly for Hopkins. He may hit a double-move for a big gain, but a physical player who tends to take the fights at the line of scrimmage personally just plays right into Seattle's hands. I love me some Hopkins, but he will take some lumps this week. I am also sitting AJ for Gordon in another league. Have there been any exceptions to this? just wondering. I don't see a ton of the seahawks, but every time I've seen that defense they're scary. millworkguy
Changed to Sanu for now. I rostered him as well to handcuff AJ, but i think Dalton has been throwing bricks the past couple of weeks, so i am not sure wts
BA Baracus
There was another discussion on here about AJ Greene and how the Browns like to take away the #1 guy. That prompted my Sanu move.
Tripleshot
I got burned badly last week with that logic, C Shorts 8/143 on my bench Garbage time yardage. Seattle's starters were out for most of the second half while Shorts got targets 15367 times.

delusions of grandeur
A rookie reciever on a team that's been inconsistent offensively and going up against good corners. I could sit here and try to rationalize what I think could happen, but isn't that plenty enough to exercise caution? You either have better bets or you don't. Good luck. Seahawks21
Have there been any exceptions to this? just wondering. I don't see a ton of the seahawks, but every time I've seen that defense they're scary. The only one is Brandon Marshall. He lit them up last year. Cutler decided to throw to him every play and they got hot. Besides that, the only guys to have any success at all were undersized/slot guys. Welker, Bess, Titus Young of all people, and now Shorts. The Hawks shut down Calvin, Fitz twice, Dez Bryant, Crabtree, the GB receivers, Steve Smith a few times, Boldin, Julio, Roddy White for the most part, and probably a few others. Now the kid will probably go off, but I just keep seeing him an Brandon Browner having a game-long wrestling match in my head.
archiebonker
I really believe the kid will do great this week. I'm going against the grain, but I truly believe he will be better then most think.

Couldn't have said it better myself...I mean yeah the kid is a freak but if you have a good WR with a better matchup I would go with that player....if Hopkins does well then I start him the rest of the way because he is clearly a stud.. Wpob
I am putting him in as my #3 WR (behind Garcon and Jones) and hoping for some garbage time yardage and a TD.
Tripleshot
I really believe the kid will do great this week. I'm going against the grain, but I truly believe he will be better then most think. Heart over head. Sometimes you plug him in and call it a gut feeling. Nine times out of ten you're left wondering if that gut feeling was just gas. And that indigestion gets worse when you compare your gut feeling play's 4-5 points to the 12 sitting on your bench. Now, if you don't have any better options, you just gotta play him regardless. You do know the Seahawks give up a whole 147 yards per game, right? Even if you split that between just AJ and Hopkins, you're getting some 70 yards. And no, JAcksonville didn't help that per game average, they got 214 yards passing.
