Ruffian
After Willingham's storybook debut, ND has struggled to produce a squad that can compete from week to week. The depth is not there--quality skill players are not choosing ND either. What's the problem (and don't tell me Hornung's comment is the reason) and how short a leash does Willingham have? Ruffian
Perhaps Mike Price can bring respect and honor...no, maybe not him. ND could look at Gary Barnett, who monitors every aspect...uh, no, maybe not him either. Is Bob Huggins free?
Selly
ND isn't one of the "premier" football schools anymore, they aren't getting the top recruits, so they suck like everbody else. Ty's got this season I think, but maybe not even that long if ND opens 0-4, or 1-5.
piratesownninjas
All I'm going to say is that Braylon Edwards and The wolverines will blow them out by 24.
hondahusduc
Watch Brady Quinn. His progress will pave the way for the future, good or bad. Being a fan, I'll say good. Look for him to have a good year, nothing Heisman-worthy, but sufficient to move the program along. Ty himself has said that the offense is looking up, that leaves the defense. A good year will be to win 7 games and make a bowl, while racking up bunches of points. Hopefully high scoring ball games will keep the alums happy enough to keep Willingham on for another year. If all goes well, the team should mesh next year under the leadership of a junior quarterback (and frontrunner for the Heisman, since all ND QB's are when the Irish have a good year) and win closer to 10 games. As for what's wrong now, Notre Dame still has strict entrance guidelines, keeping NFL-caliber players away. Can they win like that? Yes, definitely. They just need time. Willingham's the man for the job. Give him enough time and he'll turn it around. The question remains, however, will he get the time? Pope Flick
Theier schedule is beyond belief. They have 9-10 games against bowl teams from last year. Basicallyeveeryone but Navy on their schedule. They play USC, Michigan, Michigan St, Purdue, BC, Washington, Tennessee and that's just off the top of my head. that would be a tough schedule even for Miami, but they manage to work in games against Florida A&M Poly Sci Tech Northeast University every other week. Go figure.

Meat Face
Our Lady needs to figure out that they can't win on just name alone anymore. They might be able to get better players now that their competition can no longer use strippers and chimps as recruiting tools.
