Jimmy Graham

Per Roto:

A league source tells Profootballtalk.com Jimmy Graham is undergoing a Monday MRI on his knee.

It's surprising -- and we're hoping a misprint -- that the MRI is being done on Graham's knee. He was believed to have suffered an ankle or foot injury in Sunday's loss to New England, returning for a few plays before ultimately shutting it down. Graham is in a contract year and could ill afford a knee injury. We're still holding out hope it's a minor leg tweak, and the Saints' forthcoming Week 7 bye will get Graham back to 100 percent.

***UPDATE (Per Roto)***

Updating an earlier item, Jimmy Graham is getting a Monday MRI on his foot, not his knee.

As we suspected, the earlier report was just a typo. Nevertheless, it's still not great news, as any sort of foot sprain could sideline Graham for multiple weeks. If the MRI comes back negative, however, there's a good chance Graham will be ready to roll following the Saints' Week 7 bye. Stay tuned.

I watched the game yesterday and they showed a sideline shot of the trainer taping up his ankle, so I was surprised when this report came out saying it was his knee. Either way, this isn't good.

I sqw it too.. They were going pretty high up on his ankle. Wonder if it's a high ankle sprain. If it is... (gulp) see Roddy White..

I'd be shocked if it was a high ankle sprain...Initially I saw how he limped off after the play, but when the replayed it you can see he "came up lame" near the end of the route...he didn't roll the ankle or anything like that...maybe planted wrong or something but it didn't look anything to do with his ankle. Hearing it's a mid-foot sprain wouldn't surprise me...but a high ankle sprain would surprise me.

Hay gaiz I own C.J. Spiller, Jimmy Graham, Julio Jones, Roddy White, David Wilson, Tom Brady, Stevan Ridley, and Giants defense. I thought I had an awesome team coming into the season

Wut do i do now?

(not serious)

but seriously someone could realistically have most if not all of those players on the same team! That would be so brutal.

Agreed, seriously doubt it's a high ankle sprain. Better hope not.

It's called L-word!

The powers that be here need to code that word as a curse word so that it can never pop up on these boards when speaking of such a great talent....maybe it could auto correct to "LChives" or something....
